You ready? How's that sound? Yeah. Everybody everybody good? Jared?
SPEAKER_06Sorry. Yeah, I'm good.
SPEAKER_05Sorry about that.
SPEAKER_02Silence. Here we go. Welcome back to the Hot Ashes Podcast. I'm Lee, and TK is not here with us today. So my co-host today is my brother Jared. Jared, say hi.
SPEAKER_00TK, baby.
SPEAKER_02TK, baby. Alright. And we are back at the table at George's. We got Roger, we got Rusty. We got others on the sides. And today just happens to be the day we're doing that crazy, crazy Lil Nitro Hot Gummy Bear 9 million Scoville Unit Challenge. But before we get into any of that, we're going to talk about what we're smoking, what we're drinking. I am smoking a George's Box Press Torpedo, as usual. And I'm drinking something new. This is from the Salty Turtle Beer Company, who Roger knows. You guys went to high school together, right? Yep. Okay. It's called Shiboomy. It's a hazy IPA. She did what to you? Shiboomy.
SPEAKER_04Oh. Love it when she does that.
SPEAKER_02Shiboomi. Okay. Jared, what are you smoking? What are you drinking?
SPEAKER_06Uh, same as always. I just drink water. I'm boring.
SPEAKER_02Yep, no smokey, and he drinks water. Nothing wrong with that. Raja!
SPEAKER_09I am smoking the Alec Bradley Tempest Maduro, and I am also uh drinking the salty turtle shibumi.
SPEAKER_02It's it's pretty good. Yeah, it's light.
SPEAKER_09Much lighter than a normal like IPS impressable.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I noticed. I was like, well, it's early in the day, and you're starting out with my normal, my usual. Rusty. Smoking drinking.
SPEAKER_01Hello. Smoking George's torpedo. Drinking a pernicious.
SPEAKER_02Pernicious. I love sweet pernicious. So we're back with another episode. Again, TK is not with us this this evening. Uh this afternoon. And it and the reason is because he's out camping right now. He's having a good old time. And I asked if we could do one without him. Ooh, that's a little bit tilted. Just a little bit tilted. That's all right. Yeah, you see what I'm saying? It's like just a little bit. Nope, other way. Yeah, that's that's that's probably good. Nah, a little bit more. That's good. Nah, see, it's too much. That's good. That's good. That's good. I love when we do that kind of stuff. It's funny.
SPEAKER_01It went back to the same spot. Yeah, it's fine. It's fine. We'll be all right.
SPEAKER_02Uh what we're gonna be doing though, so let's talk about this challenge. I've seen, and you've done half of one before. Yes. Right? Half of one. And it put you on your ass and it put Trey in the bathtub.
SPEAKER_01It put tray in the bathtub. Yeah, it put Trey in a running a bathtub full of water. I don't understand. That's not a bad idea though. Cold water? No, it was a hot bath. What? Yeah, I don't know. He didn't know what else to do. He said, I don't know what else to do.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what else to do. And then you said there was a kid who ate one.
SPEAKER_01So the first person I ever saw eat one, this was an 11-year-old kid, set of twins, bought it one over here. And then he said, Dad, I'm gonna eat it now. He said, No, you should wait till you get home. I'm gonna eat it now. So he ate it, wound up in the grass out here throwing up for a little bit, and then locked himself in the bathroom in here for a couple hours. Man. Until somebody brought his blinky.
SPEAKER_02So you know, so you know it's good. Yeah. So uh we've talked about it and talked about it. Roger's uh he he actually is Rogered up to this a long time ago. Yeah. Uh he was the first one to say he was gonna do it, and we all thought he was crazy, and we still do. Still do. Um and Rusty actually, having already done half of one, knows how bad they are, so it's crazy that you agreed to do this as well. So Rusty before the show took toothpicks and gave those of us who aren't doing it a taste of and just a little toothpick of it. Not even there's not even a chunk on it. You can just barely see some red on the toothpick, and I can feel the heat. So I know it's gonna be hot. Uh the card that Roger's reading right now, you want to go ahead and read it.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, it says uh the Little Nitro Challenge. We want you to make the best the best little nitro video on the internet. Post your video video to YouTube with the hashtag little nitro challenge for a chance to be featured, blah blah blah blah. Fully chew this fiery bear and see if you can handle the heat. Can you go a full five minutes without relief?
SPEAKER_02Five minutes, can you do that?
SPEAKER_09So I thought that you guys were saying that um you know you can't. That's not saying you gotta chew it for five minutes.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, that's just saying fully chew it, but then you have to go five minutes without relief.
SPEAKER_06I thought it was chewing for five minutes as well.
SPEAKER_02And what I'll do is I'll start a stopwatch when you guys start and let you know where you're at. And I could probably put one on the video, like you know, take it out. See if you can. I mean, hey, you're doing it, and we're not, so like don't feel bad if you can't make the five minutes. Like I wouldn't when you're done, be done.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, just be able to keep the 130 subscribers.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, 167, thank you. No big deal. Uh no, but um, yeah, it's anybody who's gonna comment, like, oh, you couldn't do it, they've never done it. I know, right? You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_09I gotta say, I like regretted this multiple times over this weekend. I know. We were lighting fireworks and there was like a flame red one. I was like, that's gonna be what's gonna be.
SPEAKER_02That's gonna be my it hasn't happened yet.
SPEAKER_06You can always back out.
SPEAKER_10Oh no, I ain't no bitch. All right, there you go.
SPEAKER_02Oh man, I am. I don't want one of those. Oh, are we getting ready already?
SPEAKER_09I don't know. I'm getting it out, so I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I thought we'd build it up a little bit.
SPEAKER_09I'm using, I'm getting the fork ready.
SPEAKER_02Okay. What I'm gonna do, you're gonna use a fork? Yeah, I'm not gonna be able to do that. Oh, so you're not touching it. No, I'm gonna touch it. Don't touch it. Uh we are going to what I'll do is I'll post a picture of this on the video just so you see what we're talking about, the 9 million Scoville unit, Little Nitro, Lil Nitro. Uh and they are sold at so Rusty brought these ones, but they're also sold at Candy Adventure here in Swansboro, 640 West Corbett Avenue. So check out Candy Adventure. If you dare try the Little Nitro challenge, I don't dare.
SPEAKER_06Nor I.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So that's what the box looks like. Roger's holding up. Um, and that's what the little gummy bear looks like. And he's gonna use a fork because if you touch it, you probably rub your eye or something, and then we'll be in the ER business.
SPEAKER_06Or go to the bathroom.
SPEAKER_08Seen that too many times on Hot Ones. Yeah, right. Careful with your hands. Don't touch your hands.
SPEAKER_06Don't care about your eyes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and he's a good, such a good host, he always reminds them, you know. Yeah, yeah. Like, don't do that.
SPEAKER_06I like that guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh there was one guest that was like just oh, it was Will Farrell, I think we're just wiping it all over. Oh no, Conan, Conan O'Brien. Yeah, Conan O'Brien. Oh shn. What happened, dude?
SPEAKER_01He almost dropped it. It it tried to run away. It doesn't want my mouth.
SPEAKER_0230-minute roll. Oh man. All right, so alright, so what we're gonna do is.
SPEAKER_09You want to try and use this?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you guys are gonna. Are we about to do this?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, why not?
SPEAKER_02Are you okay? Let's do it. So I'm gonna get my stopwatch ready. Is everybody ready? Are the spectators watching? You should probably record this on your phones, even though we got it on we got it on this camera. Um God.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02All right, hold on. Oh, he just did it.
SPEAKER_06Oh, he just did it. Go for it. All right, no turn it back down.
SPEAKER_02All right, the clock has started, and they have both the gummy bear.
SPEAKER_06Thoughts, comments, concerns?
SPEAKER_02Oh man.
SPEAKER_01You know what builds. It's got a sweet heat, kind of like um.
SPEAKER_02Two million.
SPEAKER_01Somebody's mom.
SPEAKER_02And they say that's nine. That's nine hundred total. That's nine hundred times the jalapeno heat. Oh man.
SPEAKER_01Alright, I swallowed it.
SPEAKER_09I mean, we don't need to chew it for five minutes, right?
SPEAKER_02No. So how do you feel? Are you on fire? T B D. Are you on fire? Rusty?
SPEAKER_06It's building.
SPEAKER_02You're on fire? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Don't make me talk. Oh man.
SPEAKER_02And it's like when you talk, you could feel how hot your breath is. Yeah. Oh boy. Oh, uh, uh. You can't do that. Five minutes. And it's been 54 seconds. You can't drink either. No, dude, that's relief.
SPEAKER_10That's relief. Okay.
SPEAKER_02It's been one minute. Hey. Oh, Rusty, look like you're contemplating your life choices right now, dude.
SPEAKER_08So let's talk about 4th of July.
SPEAKER_02Hey man, we can't see your eyes, dude. How is your fourth? You still can't see your eyes. Open them. Oh, buddy. Oh, man. I can feel it for you guys. Oh, it's hot, huh?
SPEAKER_06Oh boy.
SPEAKER_02Okay, you're alright. Everybody's good. You're doing it. Tell me about your fourth. So 4th of July.
SPEAKER_09We went out to the um fireworks right there on the corner of Queen's Creek. Bad choice. I'm getting hiccup. Come on.
SPEAKER_02We keep talking.
SPEAKER_09So uh we it was uh me and a couple of my old psychiatry residents. Um they're moving down here. Gonna be stationed out at the hot hall. So we had a little get together. We had a little get together, and uh we probably bought like three four hundred dollars worth of fireworks and just lit it on. That's cool.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_09That sounds cool. And it was cool because we had the shitty fireworks, the sparkler ones with cracklers and all this stuff. Oh, we sell their snakes. The neighbors around, the neighbors around have the the full ones, and those were pretty crazy. It was like a 360 V.
SPEAKER_02Careful touching your face. Oh, you didn't have to be a few. I didn't touch it. Okay, okay, okay, good.
SPEAKER_09But I feel like my snot is even nuclear at this point.
SPEAKER_06Oh, did you bring like tissues or something?
SPEAKER_02Oh, Rusty. You hanging in, buddy. You doing okay. Two minutes, two minutes, thirty seconds. Oh, you're halfway there. No, you guys are gonna do it. Rusty, you are turning red, brother. Yeah. That's okay. Did you swallow it? I don't think you can turn red, Roger.
SPEAKER_08Wasn't like Patrick Ewing in the fourth quarter.
SPEAKER_02Oh man. What happened to your arm? Yeah, what did you do?
SPEAKER_09Oh, that one was um a uh bacon sheet.
SPEAKER_02Rusty. Not as many. Tell us the story, man.
SPEAKER_01I guess hard right now because all I'm thinking about is I don't know the son.
SPEAKER_02You're crying.
SPEAKER_01I might ask.
SPEAKER_02Three minutes. And you've done this before.
SPEAKER_01I can't believe it's a good idea. Not like this.
SPEAKER_02He did the whole thing this time.
SPEAKER_01I know, but like, let me tell you, half of one is just like the whole one.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but what I mean is you still agreed to do it again. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's right. You're like you're like a pregnant woman.
SPEAKER_09Fuck. We're both crying.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah. Look at the tears. Good job, dude. Good job. 323.
SPEAKER_10Cigar makes that worse.
SPEAKER_02Oh, does it? Now it's a good thing.
SPEAKER_06Oh, you're breathing in fire. Spicy chocolate.
SPEAKER_02You're making it though. You guys are doing it. 333. All right. That is the same thing. It's not too bad. You're close. You're close.
SPEAKER_01It's not too bad.
SPEAKER_02Okay. You're doing the five-minute challenge, though. Like both of you, you're making it.
SPEAKER_01It's not as bad as it was the first time.
SPEAKER_02Maybe the maybe the memory of that is what I do feel my stomach warming up.
SPEAKER_01So that's like an ominous sign.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh man.
SPEAKER_08Did you guys do fireworks?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01Did you guys do the fireworks?
SPEAKER_02I was here on Friday. You know George stayed till nine. I think I got the most mouth. Four minutes. You got one minute left.
SPEAKER_09Alright. We're good.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna make it, huh? We're in the clear. Yeah. Yeah, you're gonna make it. You can do it. Rusty, you're not red anymore.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I see them tears though. Oh man. The Lil Nitro challenge. Rusty and Roger.
SPEAKER_09Actually, the thing that I'm looking forward to is trying the different things to see which is.
SPEAKER_02So Roger came prepared. He brought milk. What were you supposed to say you were drinking?
SPEAKER_09Oh, I was I was supposed to be saying uh I was drinking uh KO pectate. Extra strength.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. 436.
SPEAKER_09Can somebody go grab the milk from the fridge? Please.
SPEAKER_02The one arm guy. 15 seconds.
SPEAKER_06I got his son sitting right next to him and he went and got it. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_08Extra rich chocolate whole milk.
SPEAKER_02Five, four, three, two, one. Drink it. Five minutes. You both made it. Congratulations. Get some relief.
SPEAKER_06Have a beer.
SPEAKER_02Get some relief.
SPEAKER_08The carbonation. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if the beer will help. I know, right? Yeah. That's gonna spread it. That's problematic. Rusty, you're not taking it.
SPEAKER_02Rusty, you're not taking it. Look, man, you're sweating your ass off, dude.
SPEAKER_06Fucking handled it, though. It's better than I did. Yeah, that's true, dude. I didn't get it. Good job, both of you, man. I ain't doing it.
SPEAKER_02Good job. Oh, look at your head, man. Go get a cook. Roger, how you feeling, buddy? We're 13 minutes into the episode. It was fine.
SPEAKER_01Kind of shaking.
SPEAKER_06I feel fine. Be careful going up them stairs. I feel fine.
SPEAKER_02You feel fine? You did it? All right. It wasn't fine. Man, congrats, dude. Roger ain't no little bitch.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, that's why I told you, man. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He's shaking a little bit.
SPEAKER_08I was scared for you. That's called adrenaline.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I'm going to feel tired after this. I bet. Yeah. Oh man.
SPEAKER_02Now, how's that? Is it providing any kind of relief?
SPEAKER_06Ready to do yours? Fuck you. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'll do a regular gummy bear. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_10Chocolate milk.
SPEAKER_02That's a we that's what we I was worried that he was going to bring two regular ass gummy bears. That would have been chocolate milk. But he brought them in the case. We know what they look like.
SPEAKER_09And I tasted it, so I'm also going to try citric acid. I heard that it's supposed to help.
SPEAKER_06I don't think you should be doing acid on the show.
SPEAKER_02He brought uh peanut butter. I brought, yeah, Roger, you came prepared, dude.
SPEAKER_08Honestly, the the I'm more excited about seeing what works.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it might work.
SPEAKER_06And if nothing works, at the very least, how each thing reacts? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, it might be. Yeah, yeah. But it might work, but it's got to work in your stomach too, right? Because in your stomach gonna be torn up.
SPEAKER_06I took 15 days. What is that? What is that? Citric acid. Citric acid.
SPEAKER_02Are you guys still hot? Like is your mouth still hot? I mean your mouth. Is your mouth still hot? Like, is it still on fire? Whoa, somebody's feeding back. Oh, it's that. That's okay. Yeah. Um like what would you say? Like, does it feel like you just ate a bunch of hot wings?
SPEAKER_01Um no, this is like this is chemical pain. Yeah, like you like uh really fucked up and sucked a wrong pig's too.
SPEAKER_08Like you stuck your tongue out and somebody sprayed OC spray in the back of your throat, just like. Oh wow. It just hurts. It's just pain. Yeah. Damn. But that's good. I don't know, citric acid helps, but if you want to try rusty, it's just super sour. It's just really, really, really sour. What did it help with? The spiciness.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. What's it help with? It helps with helps with a child obesity. Oh, is it that sour? It's super sour. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Fuck it, hey hell. I don't know what was worse.
SPEAKER_02Oh man. Well, you guys did it, man. I'm proud of you. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that was fucking horrible.
SPEAKER_06I don't like sour things.
SPEAKER_01I'd do two.
SPEAKER_02Self-induced sneezes. Wow, so we had two guys do it now, and we're gonna have to do the hashtag Lil Nitro Challenge on the uh description of that.
SPEAKER_09It depends on who's gonna who's next.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you guys you guys handled it like freaking beasts. I mean, what's funny seeing the aftermath too, like But you knew it was I mean you you prepared for it, you know, you were ready and you did it. I'm proud of you, man. That's cool.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He's like, yeah, fuck you, dude. Yeah. I told you I could handle it. I was like, that's right. You did it. You did. You talked, you you backed it up. You're backing it up right now.
SPEAKER_08I honestly didn't think I was gonna have to uh cash that check.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we kept with it. You thought you were gonna make it out of town without doing it. Yeah. Hey, Dakota, you see, we got him to do it. And and Rusty. Yeah. Oh man.
SPEAKER_09I was saying maybe we can get me in.
SPEAKER_10I don't think so. I don't think it's gonna maybe not.
SPEAKER_02Timeline's still. As soon as you said it, you were like backpedaling.
SPEAKER_01Uh okay, much better.
SPEAKER_02Well, I was gonna ask you, would would you so like now the way this is, would you be able to eat horseradish right now?
SPEAKER_01No, that's the taste.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01For me, it's not the spice of horseradish. For me, it's not the spice of horseradish, it's that flavor and that taste now, and I like the taste.
SPEAKER_02Oh, because you almost because you got sick off of it. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01I got food poisoning from horseradish, and it was not fun.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I cannot tell. Well, you gotta tell what all these things are doing.
SPEAKER_01Well, you saw my face with acitric acid, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. But did it help any?
SPEAKER_08I don't think so. I don't think so. I think so far the milk is a little bit more. So far the chocolate milk has been like now which one's more helpful, the chocolate milk or the regular milk.
SPEAKER_02Regular milk's colder, I'm sure.
SPEAKER_08I think the chocolate milk. I think the chocolate milk was was better. Oh man. Yeah, I think so.
SPEAKER_06Well, you haven't had regular milk yet.
SPEAKER_08I haven't.
SPEAKER_02So then how are you gonna weigh in on that?
SPEAKER_08Because I've had spicy things, and I feel like that really like it battery.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
unknownMan.
SPEAKER_02Y'all did. I just I'm still in disbelief that you did it. It's crazy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Are you about to pour that into your beer?
SPEAKER_02Now tie your dicks together and get married.
SPEAKER_04Somebody help this man out, Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_02Just spilling it everywhere. Who cares? Who gives a shit? And the adrenaline is coming.
SPEAKER_04The adrenaline is pumping.
SPEAKER_02Both of y'all are shaking. And you can tell too by the way he's talking, it's like a little shaky. I mean it's understandable with that kind of heat.
SPEAKER_06I I remember you guys are handling it way better than you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, way better than I thought you would. Um, like even when I had uh, you know, the blaze and hot wings or something like that, I'm not able to talk that well at the end of that as you guys are doing right now with this.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02So well, we just did the little nitro challenge. These guys are beasts, man. For real?
SPEAKER_06Beasts. Wow, that was bad. Yeah. But it's is it over or is it still kind of like random life? That's what I want to know.
SPEAKER_02Like, is it gonna hang out there for hours?
SPEAKER_01I've got a little burning here, but it's the size of my tongue right now. Oh yeah.
unknownAh.
SPEAKER_02I wonder if a pickle would help. Yeah, yeah, back and forth. Everything's coconut, you know.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's why I don't get it. That's your solution to everything as a pickle. I mean, I love pickles. Kinda is the solution to everything.
SPEAKER_02I drink pickle juice, dude. I have to buy pickle juice so I can refill my pickle jar.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06Or you can just eat the pickles and then buy another.
SPEAKER_02I do, but I don't eat them fast enough as I drink the pickle juice.
SPEAKER_06He just likes the feel of the pickles. He puts them back after he's done. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So Jared likes to tell Dick jokes all the time. Last last show, he was like, he likes to eat the Snickers upside down so he could feel the uh the veins on his tongue.
SPEAKER_04Well, he looks like the guy who would kiss a hot dog before eating it.
SPEAKER_02We have a picture of you kissing a hot dog, boy. I don't want to get me started. He was like, like it was American Idol before it was American.
SPEAKER_01Okay. All right.
SPEAKER_02Yesterday Cody was telling me about his truck, and he was like, Well, then you take then you got the cup there, and I was like, Oh, why is why is my phone not in my hand right now while he's doing this? They had two of them. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Did you see my post on his uh on his Facebook?
SPEAKER_02Who's on Cody's note? What did you say?
SPEAKER_09Uh it was uh it was him coming out of surgery. He's like, everything went well, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, should be a speedy recovery. Um, I said, glad to hear you finally got that enhancement surgery you've been talking about. Hopefully, they were able to add on a couple inches like like you would wish for. To get you up to four. He was saying that uh the doctor said there's no more room for improvement. It's basically perfect. Basically perfect.
SPEAKER_02I just th I thought she bumped the camera. We're good. Everybody's in a frame.
SPEAKER_09My tongue is still burning, but I think that's from the citric acid.
SPEAKER_01Embern won't. Oh, I don't know. Something's talking from it, huh? I'm not sure what it's from. It's probably from that hot ass gummy bear. I think it might be the gummy bear.
SPEAKER_02Might be the culprit. I liked on the back it said serving size, one bear.
SPEAKER_09One bear.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_09How many calories was that? Uh negative 450.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. 15 calories.
SPEAKER_02You'd think you would burn calories.
SPEAKER_01I think I'd burn 4 to 20 off. I'm sure you're oh, Combat Carl had the whole one.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01At his house that time. Yeah, and he hated it too. It was horrible. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But you guys are doing better than I've I've seen people do.
SPEAKER_09I was getting hiccups in the middle of it. Oh boy. I couldn't finish my.
SPEAKER_02He was sweating as well. You still are sweating, but you turned beat red. Does it help if I have walls out here? Yeah. Well, yeah, but like, and plus the nine million scope bill unit dummy bear.
SPEAKER_09My stomach is like burning at some point. Are you is your stomach burning like a little bit like right there?
SPEAKER_02That's when you need to drink that other stuff. Beer? No, the the isn't that what that's for, your stomach?
SPEAKER_10Yeah. I mean, like, I I pregamed with it. Like Did you? Yeah, before coming in here. Like, I like just open it and chuck it.
SPEAKER_01There's somebody in my stomach right now. Nice. There's a band down there singing a song. Burn, burn like a whisker basket.
SPEAKER_02A whisker basketball.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no. No, yeah. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Brick, I will not like to go to the party with two pants with you.
SPEAKER_01You missed it. Okay, here we go.
SPEAKER_02They both ate it. And then they went five minutes without any drink or anything. They did the challenge where they went five minutes without drinking or anything. So they're doing well, man. I feel like Rusty rigged the game and they're fake bears or something. Oh no, sir. I know I can see it on your face.
SPEAKER_06You can't fake the amounts of beads of sweat in your hand.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you can't just conjure up that much sweet. I mean my ears pain.
SPEAKER_01There for a second, I couldn't hear anything. It was weird how it hits the ears. Burning in my eardrums.
SPEAKER_02It's like the movie or cartoons where the smoke comes out.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that's for sure. Well they talk that they talk about that on Hot Ones, and he does a show with this other guy where they'll eat a full like uh ghost pepper or reaper or whatever, and they'll just eat the actual vegetable, and they're and the guy's like snapping next to his ears. Like it somehow it always hits the ears. I I find that interesting.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't want to ever find out. I was saying earlier though, I've had like the blazon, yeah, but then I'm just like talk amongst yourselves, fuck.
SPEAKER_06Like I don't have anything to say.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like you're sweating and all that stuff. But it's not that's the blazon, dude. That's not near anything near what this is, you know.
SPEAKER_09You know, I think the the blazon, the other ones, the more difficult part about it is if it's liquid and it gets everywhere. I thought that the like the gelatinousness of the uh of the gummy bear would get stuck, but it didn't get stuck too bad. Right. Did you chew it a lot or did you just like a couple chews and down?
SPEAKER_06No, I chewed it quite a bit. Okay. Imagine if it was like a gusher. Like if the inside of it was a liquid one bite. This is a kind of show, okay. Oh my gosh. That would be that would be because it would just all over. Yeah. Doesn't get any better. Doesn't get any better all over the place.
SPEAKER_10Talk about gushers.
SPEAKER_02At least a half inch. Yeah. Anyway. Thanks, buddy. Okay, pal.
SPEAKER_01Well, that was fun. It's uh over now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, is it over? That's what I want to know. Like, are you still on fire?
SPEAKER_06My stomach is still feeling it, but I'm just a little bit mouth.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but last time weren't you out of commission for hours afterwards. And this time you both seemed fine. How long have you had these things?
SPEAKER_01I don't know about I don't know about hours. Trey was out, he was out of commission for a couple hours. But like an hour later, I was back to just normal whatever. Beaten salsa and shit.
SPEAKER_02You're still sweating. I mean, it's a few. It's gonna happen, yeah. It's gonna happen. No, but it's like he started sweating when he ate the thing.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, his face went red.
SPEAKER_02Like, well, plus we got these heaters here, man. It's making it crazy. Jeez, oh flip. That's so cool. I can't. No, I mean I I have no desire. I've never had any desire to do any of those challenges. I'll watch those challenges, like the eating channel, like somebody 15 cheeseburgers or something like that. I have no desire. But like if I'm hungry, I'm like, I'll eat one of those cheeseburgers. That stuff looks so good.
SPEAKER_06I'm like, yeah, like four bites of that. I'm good.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then you're gonna be sick by the end.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But these people that do it, and it's like, you would think they'd be huge. They're not.
SPEAKER_04Well, they probably have to work out all the time.
SPEAKER_02No, they probably go purge. I think they go purge. I bet they throw up.
SPEAKER_06I feel like if they're like, That's cheating, isn't it? Yeah, it's cheating.
SPEAKER_02I feel like they do. Don't you feel like competitive eaters purge when they're done? Competitive eaters. Don't you think they purge?
SPEAKER_09No. I think I mean that would probably be more painful, wouldn't it? To like have to purge everything up and just.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that would suck.
SPEAKER_06I mean, why do it?
SPEAKER_02They they say they don't, the ones that they say they train, and then they, you know, they're gonna be out of commission and go and poop a lot afterwards. But uh but they would train your body for that.
SPEAKER_09A lot of them work out like crazy.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I watch a guy, uh beard meets food. Yeah, that guy's yoked. Yeah, he's he's like jacked.
SPEAKER_02So he might be the one I was talking about.
SPEAKER_06All the time. Yeah. And you watch him eat all this food, and when he's leaving, he's like, oh, like never, I wouldn't, but again, no desire was.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you think it once I eat now I'm full. I guess it's not enough to shrink your stuff.
SPEAKER_09He eats a lot and then he like stars himself like the day before or something like that.
SPEAKER_06Sometimes he says it's like three days before. That's gotta suck, man. My my thing is is that you know, he's been doing it for so long, so he's clearly trained his body to deal with this stuff.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I mean, he's used to discomfort. I think that that's the thing, is like you just have to like push through, and his stomach muscles must be like super flexible. Yeah, he's got like the the yoga version of a stomach that can just stretch like crazy, probably. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean they have and there's like small, like there's a girl that does it, and she's real small. And I'm like, how the F is that working? How do you s where are you storing all this?
SPEAKER_09They're all they're all fit though. They're all like power lifters or something.
SPEAKER_02But that can't be good for your body though.
SPEAKER_09Oh, probably not.
SPEAKER_02You know. Well, especially if it's like a hot dog eating contest, that's gotta be terrible for your system.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, Joey Jess. They dunk the buns in the water. I'm like, ugh.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but that's to that's to make it easier to go down.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, they're not doing it for Taves.
SPEAKER_02No, it just makes it easier to go down.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, Joey Jess not won yesterday, the hot dog eating contest. Oh, really? Yeah. I don't know if you guys remember last year there was like this whole debacle because it was something about like sponsorships or something like that, and so he vetoed and was just like, I don't uh fine, I'm not gonna compete this year. And everybody was like pissed off. And so he came back this time uh and won again for like the I don't know, countless number of times.
SPEAKER_06So whenever I hear like hot dog eating contests, I always think of the movie uh buddy games. I don't think you I don't think you've seen it. I told you to watch it, but it's but the one dude is clearly gay. You know, he's he's not out, but he's clearly gay. And they're doing like all these different buddy challenges, and one of them is hot dog eating, and the dude just like you see him positioning his throat, and he basically swallows the hot dog whole, and they're like, they're going at it and they're like it's the funniest thing because he's like holding his throat and he's like positioning it. It's the whole it's so funny. Classic.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that was it. I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_06Just watch it alone, you might. And Lance, you are clearly gay. But you were trying to hold me up and that's not good.
SPEAKER_02You know what that is, it's perfect.
SPEAKER_09Aw. I might have I don't know, the voice sounds really funny. It's the ladies, man.
SPEAKER_07The ladies that Leon failed. Yeah, high society.
SPEAKER_02Run it. You keep on butt busting this camera. Hiding from everybody by the way. We got it on now, we got it on.
SPEAKER_07Did you by chance see his little training thing that he does? Joy Chestnut? The ESPN just did a 30 for 30 on him. I'm serious. He put in like the you know, like uh training jaw exercise thing. And he's sitting there like this.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_07I'm trying to help my muscles move it down faster.
SPEAKER_06Again, I I you can't not sound gay when you're talking about this stuff, right? But the dude with beard meets food, when he eats these foods, there's certain foods that are like you it's uh it's a lot of chewing. So like steak, it's a lot of chewing. So your jaw muscles. And if it's like if he goes to a place where it's like a sub or something, it's real crunchy bread, yeah. He's like, it's so hard to chew all of that. Like the pizza crust. Yeah, yeah. Once you get to the crust, it's just that's the channel. Getting it down is half of the problem, but but chewing it is just your jaw has to be so freaking strong.
SPEAKER_02Giggity. You got a strong jaw, don't you? What are you doing? What are you looking at? Nothing. I keep thinking I'm looking at something and smaller. Everybody's like, and I'm like, what the f what? We're all looking because everybody looked. No, I was looking at the Oh geez.
SPEAKER_06Oh, geez. Do you watch Rick and Morty? I do. Oh, it's the best. The new season just started. I know I've been watching it. I'm not starting. I I wait till it over it's over.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I usually do, but I've been watching it.
SPEAKER_06Do you watch the Dutton Ranch?
SPEAKER_02Nope. All right. I am not caught up on Yellowstone because I watched I watched the first season and then I started it over again because I forgot it all. I watched like two episodes. I got bored with it.
unknownLoser.
SPEAKER_02I'm watching Oz, Deadwood, and the Pacific.
SPEAKER_06Oz? Yeah. Oh my god. It's good, man. It's good.
SPEAKER_02I started it over. That was a classic. And I'm remembering some of it. It's like, oh, I remember that too.
SPEAKER_06What's Deadwood? That sounds familiar.
SPEAKER_02That's uh the Cowboys. They say the word cocksucker every other word. No, seriously, like everyone says it a million times in that show. It's HBO, HBO Max. Yeah, I don't remember the guy's name. He plays on uh Good Omens, not Good Omens, uh Angels and Demons. He's the guy that uh fuck Swearingen. Al Swearingen. Swearing, yeah. Yeah, peace. Anyway, uh, and then Timothy Oliphant's in it too.
SPEAKER_07Well, there's a bunch of stars in that they weren't at the time.
SPEAKER_02Right, right, yeah. The sheriff from uh Sons of Anarchy, he's in it, the old man. Anyway, it's a good show. It's about the Wild West, basically. It's like uh that's what I was a territory that has not been um you know brought into the you know the United States or whatever, so they kind of like are lawless and not really lawless but lawless. And there's only like three seasons because they canceled it out of the blue. So it's not suckling. Yeah, it's a good show and it should have kept going. Frank was telling so Frank told me about that show. He also told me about um Perry Mason, the new Perry Mason with um Matthew Reese. And it's very good, but there's only like one or two seasons. And then they canceled it. I'm like, what the it was such a good show, and I don't even I've never seen the original Perry Mason, so the new one was kind of cool, just like his origins has been.
SPEAKER_06The problem with that is is is a younger generation doesn't know who the hell Perry Mason is. You even though you never watched it, you still knew about it, so you had kind of a you knew what you were going into, so a lot of people aren't watching it because they're like, I don't know what this is.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I mean it's a modern additive, but you're right. It's it you'd have to have been at least around it. It's like the new He-Man movie. Kids today don't know what the hell that is. Womp. We do. We grew up on it. Have you seen it? Yeah. Don't say womp.
SPEAKER_06I already told you womp.
SPEAKER_02Damn it. You've told me too much. I might as well have already seen the movie. I thought you already saw it. You're welcome. No. So we have a thing where we don't give away anything, movies, TV, anything. If I even say a word, I've given upset too much. He knows the rest, he knows the plot. Yeah. Same thing. I'm like, ah, you've said too much.
SPEAKER_06But in all honesty, you're better off remembering He-Man.
SPEAKER_02Really? Come on. All right.
SPEAKER_06On his desk at HR, it said he him, man. Not man. But his name was Adam. But it said he, him. No, it did not. I swear to God.
SPEAKER_02Well, I think that's for the humor of He-Man.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, was it? Is that what it was for? I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_02Is that what it was for? Oh, they woke it up, huh? Yes. Oh man. See, we gotta get past this era where movies.
SPEAKER_06I wish we would hurry up.
SPEAKER_02We gotta get past it. I told you I started watching an interview with the vampire of the show. I got three quarters of the way into episode one, and I was like, nope, not for me. I was like, oh, this is me.
SPEAKER_06We had a good run. Turned it right off. Same with it.
SPEAKER_02I don't care, but like I'm not. I'm not.
SPEAKER_09I don't have to see that in every time every time it's like an eye rule. Well, what was the show? It's like I think you just said angels and demons or angels and dem no good omens.
SPEAKER_02Good omens, thank you. Yep. I was so mad. I was like, well, they're with that.
SPEAKER_06You know, whatever. Whatever. But the newest one that came out, I was two minutes in. They kissed. I was like, oh, all right. That sucks.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that sucks. I was enjoying the show.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that could have been good. They chose they chose not to.
SPEAKER_09Jared, so I'm gonna save that one for later. Jared put it up in the bank. Oh, let me uh Jared put it up in the bank.
SPEAKER_04Little did you know I broke out the tissues there?
SPEAKER_02Are there are these happy tissues or sad tissues?
SPEAKER_04Sometimes both.
SPEAKER_02Started.
SPEAKER_10Hopefully they weren't on the same tissue. You don't know about the questions, which one's first.
SPEAKER_02Oh wait, we didn't introduce you, so you gotta say who you are. Go ahead, Roger.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_08No, go ahead. Introduce yourself.
SPEAKER_07Hi, I'm Marv. Um I am smoking the M Bombay, and I am drinking Second Amendment whiskey.
SPEAKER_02I love the Second Amendment.
SPEAKER_07I'm a fan.
SPEAKER_02I've never had their whiskey, but I I like the amendment.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Would you like to try some?
SPEAKER_02Nah, I'm good. Thank you. I'm doing beer, but thank you though, man.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I guess Marvin and I have worked together and uh he's heading out in a little bit.
SPEAKER_02Are you a psychiatrist too?
SPEAKER_07No, but I like to pretend to be one, you know. Don't we all?
SPEAKER_02Hey, I'm not a gynecologist, but I'll have a look. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_06So what do you do? Are you a doctor though? No, I'm a corman. Because I was gonna say, did he bring a doctor in case he needed like no?
SPEAKER_02He did the smart thing and brought a corman in case he needed medically.
SPEAKER_09He brought all sizes of thermometers for me.
SPEAKER_06He's even got the built-in one. Yeah, I got the flush one.
SPEAKER_02That's a big ass thermometer, Doc. What are you doing?
SPEAKER_04Checking your tonsils.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, you might have needed a silver bullet. Nah, you did well. You did good. You did good. Nah, I'm impressed, but I'm also let down, though. You know what I mean? Yeah, I could see some pain. Yeah. You guys could have played a double. Rusty was in pain. Like he wasn't talking for a while. Like he was in pain. But I'm glad to see they're both okay right now.
SPEAKER_09It is definitely bubbling. Yeah?
SPEAKER_10It's like kind of angry. It's like a pay omage to the ports. It's like you don't, you know when you can't get comfortable sleeping? And so it just keeps like twisting and turning, and you just gotta keep working. Wherever it moves, it burns there.
SPEAKER_02Whatever you do, don't trust a fart, dude.
SPEAKER_06Never trust a fart. Don't trust a fart. Once you get a certain age, you should never trust a fart.
SPEAKER_02No, yeah, true. I don't trust them. I'm at that age.
SPEAKER_07You got a whole uh Khmer Rouge brewing up down there. Yeah. For those who know what a Khmer Rouge is. Like the Kamalian reference. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_10You know, because I'm half Vietnamese? What is that? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Half Vietnamese? Yeah, that's right. Hold on, don't let me guess or let me guess the other. Your dad's Vietnamese. I thought he was the one that lived there.
SPEAKER_09From China. Oh, but he does live there though. And then yeah, now lives in uh Vietnam. That's where you're originally. So then is your mom Vietnamese then?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So I had a 50-50 shot and I blew it. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Missed it by that much.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Well, womp womp. I gotta see.
SPEAKER_02What? Oh, I didn't know what you're womp womping. Well shit. So if that movie sucks, and I don't want to see Supergirl, but I mean I'll see it when it comes on TV. Same. Woke. Don't, don't. I know too much. You said too much.
SPEAKER_07The pause was just I'm not gonna. There's no effect. It was just Yep, I already know.
SPEAKER_02I already know what it's I know everything now. He's thinking though. He shouldn't have done that.
SPEAKER_07He's thinking.
SPEAKER_02You asked?
SPEAKER_08I feel like Rusty's about to let one out of his uh back end with the bigger.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Rusty, keep it, keep it tight, buddy. Keep it puckered. Don't trust the fart.
unknownI'm not gonna shit on you, brother.
SPEAKER_02Not a first time. I'm not gonna shit on you, brother. Don't worry.
SPEAKER_07Wouldn't it be the first time?
SPEAKER_02Not the first time we've buy it a nickel. Oh man. Well, salty turtle was good, but now I'm done with it and I'm gonna go grab a pernie pern. Can you guys carry the conversation?
SPEAKER_09Yeah. My stomach is like legit like cramping. It is cramping.
SPEAKER_06Doesn't that help with it? I don't think it's a good thing. I mean there's nothing that's gonna really help. But like maybe to kind of take the edge off.
SPEAKER_08It's like a house fire and you're trying to piss it out. Like there's hope you're gonna be okay tomorrow.
SPEAKER_06I can't believe you gotta go muster after the uh in the morning.
SPEAKER_09Honestly, I'll be fine.
SPEAKER_07Fingers crossed. Do you go in tomorrow? I don't know. I asked a senior.
SPEAKER_09He was like, we're gonna muster muster at eight and then head home afterwards, but I'm like, why?
SPEAKER_06Well, don't they have to after after holidays like this? Don't you mustard to make sure that you're still alive?
SPEAKER_09Yeah, it's weird because because the people that are uh heading out, we got um Thursday, Friday off instead of Friday, Monday. Okay. And so on Monday it's really just gonna be like a hundred people.
SPEAKER_0296.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, but our 96 got shifted. Uh anybody that was leaving got their 96 shifted to the left of it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, are you excited about 29 poems? Oh, yeah. And you're going too, Marv?
SPEAKER_07Oh no. I don't know. I'm PCSing on Tuesday. Oh, where are you headed? Yeah. Uh Miami, Florida. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02What are you gonna be doing there?
SPEAKER_07Medical officer recruiting.
SPEAKER_02Oh, cool.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah. I'm gonna convince a bunch of college kids to sign up and not be terrible nurses. Yeah. Then I'll send them over to Roger and be like, hey, fix this. Tag. Tag, you're in.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. I don't I you know, somebody talked to me earlier about Florida. I was like, I don't think I could live there just because every year a new hurricane comes through.
SPEAKER_02Well, not only that, and they do make they do make concrete houses and stuff like that. They do make it.
SPEAKER_06But the insurance would be in you still gotta pay insurance.
SPEAKER_02Right, but uh I would I would say the heat.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but just the cost of living. It's hot in Florida.
SPEAKER_09We have to pay uh hurricane insurance here.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but it do you think it's as bad as as Florida? I don't know, maybe. Well, we don't get hurricanes like they do. Here, you guys probably get hit, you know. You get hit, of course. But in Florida, it's every time, and it's the worst it's the exact time. It's the blunt of it. Twice.
SPEAKER_07You know, they'll hit you with one and then like a week in the back half. Oh, by the way, here's Milton. Hey, guess what?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, but again, my next door neighbor used to be my old next door neighbor was from Florida. They they had lived there their whole lives, and now they were living, and they were like, these houses are junk, they're built with blah blah blah. I've been in Florida, they're built with then. I'm like, fucking move back to Florida then, Jesus. But like he was always bragging about how the houses were built.
SPEAKER_06I just feel like the cost of living has to be insane because your insurance premiums are so high.
SPEAKER_02No, Dad, well, and then the property tax is non-existent, so dad owned his house outright. That's true, you know, and that's why he wanted to move to Florida is because of that.
SPEAKER_06It's because he sold his house and then bought that house cash.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. My parents live down in uh just south of Tampa in this little town uh called Ellington, and they moved there over 20 years ago from Michigan, and um, yeah, they got hit twice with the hurricane, just boom, boom. It's brutal, but also in that area, I don't know if you guys have made your way to down to Tampa or Yeah, our dad lived in uh Winter Haven.
SPEAKER_02Winter Haven. And we went to Tampa when he died, so we flew into Tampa and then went over to he died in Lakeland, but uh Winter Haven's where he lived. The only time I ever been to Tampa, but it was a nice, cool place.
SPEAKER_07Did you get a chance to go to Yborce?
SPEAKER_02We didn't go anywhere, but I was like, dude, this is a place our dad had just died in a plane crash.
SPEAKER_06Oh man. Uh but we weren't in any kind of state to be like, hey, let's go do this awesome thing while we're down here. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I do remember thinking, damn, Tampa's pretty. Uh I'd like to come back here and try the city.
SPEAKER_06We did take the bikes around the block. That was pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but that wasn't in Winter Haven.
SPEAKER_06He did dug it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But uh it's hot as shit down there. It is hot. Or it gets hot. My daughter lived in uh Disney, you know, Orlando. She or Kit Kissimmee, but she worked at Disney for a couple years, and we would go down and visit her, and she'd get us onto the park, and it was just like 90 something degrees while we're walking around, just like, can we find some shade, please? This sucks, I don't like it.
SPEAKER_07You know, get no enjoyment. A dog in Florida, that would be the worst. Like a big southern dog.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. There we were just sweating, drooling all over me.
SPEAKER_07If you do go back down there, there's a uh cigar place called uh Rogers.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god. This is this is the hard part, probably. Yeah, I feel like go ahead.
SPEAKER_02Go ahead, go ahead. Ignore Roger. Ignore him. He'll be all right. Put being a baby. Put being a bitch. You act like you ate a fucking hot gummy bear or something.
SPEAKER_06I bet it's gotta be painful though. Like it's gonna be fine. Because every which way you move, like it's like this is a ball of fire. So if you move this way and it touches there, it's on fire. Like there's no getting around it.
SPEAKER_10It's so like deep in there that I don't think anything that I'm eating or drinking is not a good thing.
SPEAKER_06Wait a minute. Did you try peanut butter? That could probably coat.
SPEAKER_02We haven't talked about the story yet. What? Your camping trip. You built it up on the show. Now you have to tell your entire you have to tell the entire story now. So there I was.
SPEAKER_06It's not anything that great. Come on, it is.
SPEAKER_02It's make it build it. Okay. Tell me like tell it like you told me because I was like, get the f it was just worth one thing after another one.
SPEAKER_06It was first it wasn't a camping trip because it said on the sign that you can go camping. Like you can just go off the trail because you have to be a certain distance from the trail, a certain distance from water, a certain distance from blah blah blah, and then you can just set up camp wherever you are. Uh there was nowhere. I was I I did the whole trek all the way around along the loop. It was 10-ish miles.
SPEAKER_02But I could have done that in my but you were supposed to do five miles and then camp. Right.
SPEAKER_06But I'm looking for spots and every it's all it's all mountains there, so everything is on a and everything's rocks. There's boulders everywhere, and like everything's on an angle.
SPEAKER_02That's a nice boulder.
SPEAKER_06There's nowhere to camp at all. There's nowhere to camp. Mind you, it wasn't a complete waste. It was beautiful there. Uh and the animals, like they're the deer, are they have zero fear because you're not allowed to hunt there, so they're like, oh, it's one of these guys again. And he like moseied around like I was bothering him. And uh, like he's on the trail, I'm like, oh hey little guy. And he's like, he like he saunters away like uh freaking human guys. Um so that was cool, but around like mile eight and let me also let me also preface this by I'm not in shape at all. Let me put that up.
SPEAKER_02I am not a good looking man. The Lord did not bless me.
SPEAKER_06I'm not in shape. I'm out of I'm I'm 44 years old.
SPEAKER_02I'm 40, I'll be 48, so you're 45 in October.
SPEAKER_06Okay. So I'm 44 years old. Hey.
SPEAKER_02Frank, they did it. They did the gummy bear challenge. Roger and Rusty ate it.
SPEAKER_06They did it like champions.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're fine.
SPEAKER_06I'm kind of like a post-well, Roger's not fine.
SPEAKER_02Roger's hurting a little bit. Rusty was hurting a minute ago. Anyway, go ahead, go ahead. Sorry.
SPEAKER_06So, you know, I'm out of shape, but also my joints and everything are just rubbish. They're they're nothing. So around mile eight. And he happens to have the same heart condition. Two miles out, yeah, that's true. I forgot about that. But the last two miles out was uh almost a complete incline the whole way out. And I can't, especially after talking to Lee, I can't get my heart rate up to a certain point for too long. So I had to take like a shit ton of breaks to let my heart rate get down. And then it's stopping and going, it's stopping and going. My legs are like jelly now. I have a 45 or a 40-pound back on my back, and I'm climbing this. Sometimes I'm on all fours, like trying to climb, and and it's all boulders and stuff, there's water everywhere, so it's slippery. Like I'm just trying to survive getting out of this place, and it just took so that last two miles took so long because I had to keep stopping, I had to keep doing stuff, and uh yeah, I didn't get out there until like the 10.
SPEAKER_09That cable looks like it's about to unplug it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it feels like that. Come here. Yeah, it just wasn't. It wasn't what I wanted to do.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was five, so why would you do that? Hold on, hold on, hold on. We were saying this on the show. Like, why are you going to do this? Hold on. So then you make it to the end, you climb up the rocks, yeah, something else happened there.
SPEAKER_06Did it?
SPEAKER_02You broke the GoPro.
SPEAKER_06Yes, yeah. I borrowed Lee's GoPro, and and I originally, you know, I was like, I don't want to borrow it. It's I was gonna give them all four of mine to take. I was like, I'll probably break it. I don't want to borrow it. And he's like, it's indestructible, it's a GoPro, you can't break it. And I was like, all right, okay.
SPEAKER_07I'll show you.
SPEAKER_06Well, so it's got he he gave me the little selfie stick thing that it was on, and I I put it in the side pocket of my um of my pack. And it's deep enough in there, like it's fine, but the GoPro's out a little bit. And I guess the you know how it uh turns into the GoPro, or I'm sorry, into the selfie stick, it's like screws into it. Yeah, I guess I'm like jostling around, getting up this freaking mountain and going back and forth with the pack going back and forth. I guess it just unspun itself and it dropped. And I was like, ding, ding, ding, ting. And I'm like, fuck. I'm already exhausted, so I'm like, should I go back and get it? You know what I mean? I'm like, do I really like should I go? I'll just buy him a new one. But I went back and got it. I'm like, please don't be brief, please don't be broken. I look on the back, I'm like, okay, no breaks, no breaks. I look on the front, crack right down the screen. I'm like, son of a bitch.
SPEAKER_02But can't that get fixed? They they had fixed that.
SPEAKER_06Like, but I've been.
SPEAKER_02So he bought me another one and I was like, Jared, god dang it. I wish you had told me.
SPEAKER_06If you break something, you buy it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but then we could have probably taken that one to a place to get this screen fixed.
SPEAKER_06Probably should have. So I'm gonna work on doing that. Two days after I got back, I got like really sick, and I was in bed for like three days. So I was not about to like, hey, uh, hey, do you guys do a one second? You know what I mean? Yeah. I'm throwing up and shitting every two minutes. I'm not I'm like, fuck it, take it. I don't care. Where did you go? Where what's uh Virginia Shenandoah, like central Shenandoah? Yeah, I s I chose the route specifically. You know, I used AI and she's clearly useless. Um but I maybe that's because maybe that's because yours is a she.
SPEAKER_02Mine's useful, but it's a he.
SPEAKER_06Well, maybe I should change the voice.
SPEAKER_02Just kidding, women.
SPEAKER_06I uh good cover.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, saved with that one.
SPEAKER_06But anyway, I uh I chose it specifically for that, and and after doing, I think I was like a mile into the full-on climb uphill. And I go back to climb. I go back and look, I'm like, god damn, it was like this is a moderate to easy one. This is my first one, so I I specifically chose it to be easy, and it's only 10 miles. Like, even if you're like exhausted, you can do 10 miles. Like, who can't do 10 miles?
SPEAKER_02So you had all your gear, all right. I was ready to ready to do it. What time did you get out of the trail?
SPEAKER_06I think it was like 10 night. Oh shh.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Dude, you've heard about people getting lost, like no, you can't get lost. There's it was a clear trail.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but he so now you're how far from home?
SPEAKER_06Oh, I was like almost four hours.
SPEAKER_02You were four hours from home?
SPEAKER_06No, that can't be right.
SPEAKER_02No, that can't be right because it's Shenandoah's not that far from the home.
SPEAKER_06I think I got home at two. Yeah, I was about to say it's probably three and a half, four hours. It might have to be a little bit more. It was it was it was it was far enough to where I'm like, well, I'm calling around to hotels because I'm driving, I don't want to like Google. Um so I'm calling around to hotels and they're like, yeah, it's only $300 tonight. I'm like, oh, okay, because that all? I'm like, oh, well, if that's all, heck.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I can get two hours of sleep and get it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I'm like, no, I'm good. Worst case, if I was really that tired, I would have pulled off at like a rest stop fallen asleep on my car. It's fine.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So the trip didn't go as planned.
SPEAKER_06It didn't, and I'm upset.
SPEAKER_02But as the win uh weather gets cooler, I think that you'll find these kind of trails are gonna be much better.
SPEAKER_06Well, I'll try a different one. Uh it's it was still fun, it was still beautiful.
SPEAKER_02Supposedly, there's a trail um in the Croatan that for camping, like you can do the trail and then go off and camp somewhere. There's bears out there though.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but I don't want a camp site. I want to go to like the middle of nowhere. It's a very primitive site, but you can take the trail through here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, like primitive camping. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Is there a grill out there? I'm wondering how how primitive it is, is what I'm saying. So if he's saying it's a site, they might have like grills in it. That's what I mean. That's why I'm asking. Okay, that's why I was asking. So it's truly primitive. It's just like a patch of land.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you I think primitive is you just bring your own shit and you survive.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, we say primitive, but I would bring a jet boil. I would bring, you know, a flint fire starter, you know. Like uh oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah. Oh no. Sup, sub. There's Tyler. Ah. Rich people problems. I know, right. Not on the boat. You're gonna have to announce it and then walk away. Hey guys, hey guys, we're out there having a blast on the boat while you guys are. Freaking turd.
SPEAKER_07Dude's like, I'm on a boat, bitch. Don't you ever forget.
SPEAKER_02Poor Cody. We gotta get him on soon. Talk about his arm. Yeah. Have you been on since yeah, you've been on since you've heard it? You have to get you on. Oh, we gotta get you on.
SPEAKER_09You got back on.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. You can take a break. Yeah, I gotta like.
SPEAKER_09I'm gonna be in and out of the frame all the time, just like.
SPEAKER_02But you're doing good. I mean, you guys are both uh you you're yeah, you're not pretending like Rusty is. I'm just kidding, Rusty. I love how much you were sweating though at that one. Like I could see the panic on your face. Yeah, you know what I mean? I was like, oh shit.
unknownMy ears are ringing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. And and we're talking, yeah, we're asking questions. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It was just everything was coming out at one time.
SPEAKER_02I I think it's awesome you guys did it, man. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_06I wouldn't do it.
SPEAKER_02That's oh, you're gonna move. Okay. I didn't know if you were gonna do that. Yeah, we gotta get Cody on to talk about his arm.
SPEAKER_06So I didn't know he had cancer. Like, he's got that shit on his face. I'm like, what the heck? Yeah, I love how Cody.
SPEAKER_10Well, Cody's always funny. You're like, oh, what happened? Oh, I tore my biceps.
SPEAKER_02Like, what's wrong with your face?
SPEAKER_06Well, I knew about the I knew about the biceps.
SPEAKER_02I got cancer. Shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_06Dude, he's got that sarcasm though. Cody will say some shit with his own. Oh, yeah, we don't. We don't have that sarcasm, do we? Right, but that makes it hard to know if he's be like cancer. I'm like, yeah, I think I would have heard if you had cancer.
SPEAKER_02But and sarcasm is my second language, so I'm picking up what you're putting down.
SPEAKER_06Cancer don't fuck around.
SPEAKER_02All right, let's find moron. Moron is here. Well, moron is here. Here. So then I must be. Uh what a good movie. Picking up on your sarcasm.
SPEAKER_06Oh, so I'm laying it on pretty thick.
SPEAKER_02But you did you drank some of that stuff, so it shouldn't be hurting that butt that bad.
SPEAKER_09I don't know. I like I said, at this point. You've lost all faith in everything, haven't you? It's like I don't care about any of this.
SPEAKER_02What do you think?
SPEAKER_09What do I foresee?
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Like, do you think this is my 8 a.m.
SPEAKER_09poop tomorrow morning is gonna be hot. That'll be a good thing.
SPEAKER_06Wait a second. You're gonna be you're gonna be mustering at 8 a.m. If you're sitting at 8 a.m., you're gonna be like standing there with a running.
SPEAKER_02What he didn't say was that's gonna be his fourth poop of the day. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's gonna be the fourth one of the day. And here we go on Mike Faux. Uh he's gonna he has to do everything with one arm now, so it's gonna take a little longer to get into place. Old lefty. I just want to see him put these headphones on. I think that's gonna be the funniest part. Do it on camera, dude. Oh, you need help. I don't know. Wait, wait, left. Doesn't matter. I had to think left. He had to turn around. Oh, that was good. Okay. So on microphone four, we've got Cody. And Cody, why don't you tell us what's going on on that side of you right now? Right there. Right now, right there. Show us your hook.
SPEAKER_11Oh, that?
SPEAKER_02I didn't even see it. Yeah, what happened there, buddy? I wouldn't worry about that little guy.
SPEAKER_11My daughter made beer bracelet, so keep it subdued a little bit.
SPEAKER_02Nice.
SPEAKER_06I wouldn't worry about that little guy.
SPEAKER_02He was doing, he was doing a very good, him and his son, chance, were doing a project that was a very cool project. They're still doing it. That's gotta go down there. Loud. Much better. Much, much better. But they were doing a project. Go ahead, you tell the story. You're working on your truck.
SPEAKER_11A few months ago, the truck, I have a 2003 Duramax, and it just started pluming smoke, like cheech and chong, like worse.
SPEAKER_02And this is when you're in Havelock, right? Because you had to do that. Yeah, it's actually coming back.
SPEAKER_11That's right. I don't know. It was kind of embarrassing because I'm like stuck in traffic, just like bellowing smoke. Everybody's like, this fucking retard.
SPEAKER_02I don't think you can say that.
SPEAKER_11I get home. This fucking R.
SPEAKER_06This stupid retard.
SPEAKER_11Oh, there you go. Yeah, much better. So I get home, and then I'm trying to figure out what's going on, talking to people, everything. They're saying, oh, it's this, it's that's this.
SPEAKER_06Everyone's every it's like the it's like the gun thing. Everyone's a mechanic, everyone's a gun standard. Yeah, they're all experts. Yeah, they're all especially on the internet, dude.
SPEAKER_02On the internet bigger, you'll ask them, they would have gotten you. Yeah, your truck would have been.
SPEAKER_11I know. So I finally put something out on the old Facebook asking, I just need somebody to come over and help diagnose it. I don't even know if I can drive this thing. And so a local dude, he comes over with his computer, puts it on, and he's like, Yeah, it's your injectors. He's like turning my injectors on and off. And it's like smooth as hell, no smoke, turns it back on, and just rough. And so I was like, Yep, that's a problem. Cool, got it. So I wasn't really wanting to dive down this hole because it's a pain in the ass on these trucks. Well, here I am.
SPEAKER_02Well, we know it is now, yeah.
SPEAKER_11It's more of a pain in the arm than the ass. So yeah, $5,000 later, a broken arm, and having to buy some more parts today.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but it's not a broken arm. What happened? Like, tell what happened to your arm. All right.
SPEAKER_00So gross.
SPEAKER_06I know. When he told me it was like tingling, yeah. I was like, I've heard it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_11It was right in the red X in my ear. So I'm on the pastor's side. What did it say?
SPEAKER_02I'm reaching over the of his best friend's ride.
SPEAKER_11That's right. I'm reaching over the hood or into the engine bay, and I'm trying to break the uh injector line loose. Take it for what it's worth. Anyway, it's stronger than my arm. And so I'm I'm basically hyperextended this way with this one, and just giving it everything I got. I got a cheater bar on there, everything. And all of a sudden I hear this go like that, almost just like that. Right next, like, oh god. And I was like, oh, I'm like, yo, I was like, I gotta probably he was inside. And uh I'm like, yeah, this isn't good, probably. So I'm like, just walk it off, right?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's the it's the man, it's the stupid man. Walk off your hurt arm. Is this just a hurt walk-off or is this a doctor? Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I always just call Ben. I'm like, hey man, uh, does this look serious enough to go to the I do? He had a hook in his freaking yeah.
SPEAKER_11So I'm walking it off.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_11And then uh he comes out and I was like, yeah, I think I'm fucked up, dude. Something's going on. Let's let's finish up if we can, get to where we can't, because we're stopping point and let's call it a day. So get everything wrapped up. And this is Father's Day, so this is kind of like serendipitous because son, dad, my dad, it's his truck that we're working on, kind of like you guys at T-Burden, right? Right, right. So let's not bring that up. Sorry. So I don't know, it's kind of a moment, if you will, but get everything cleaned up, go upstairs, I'm in the shower, I notice my hand, like I never didn't pay any attention to my palm, and I noticed it's like splotchy. I'm like, maybe it's just dirty. So I tried uh washing it off everything like that. I was like, I was like, that hasn't happened. I'm losing strength. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_02Like, why would it be gathering and like if you uh cut off the circulation?
SPEAKER_11Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Yeah, the swelling and everything like that. Oh my god. And I go downstairs, like I tell him, like, so what do you think? Everything look okay? He's like, I mean, yeah, how's it feel? I was like, well, it feels okay. I was like, what do you think about this? He's like, oh shit. I was like, you should call Doc? He's like, yeah, probably. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02So it's a detached bicep, but it was hanging on by a thread.
SPEAKER_11We go to the ER down here, and they have like a horrible reputation, apparently, but I got a lot of things. They really do, but you said that they were really good. And they got me, they got us in real quick, they got it diagnosed, and yeah, it was 99% distal tendon rupture, is what it's called. So the the 99%.
SPEAKER_06So literally thread.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, so it's the bicep tendon that goes up down through here. So you're saying there's a chance. So you're saying there's a snap. But it didn't snap all the way because she's like, your bicep, as cute as they are. So she was giving me shit about my arm.
SPEAKER_02You were like, but they were cool.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, we all love to see when you look at it and say, Oh, isn't that cute? We love that. That doesn't hurt at all. That doesn't hurt at all.
SPEAKER_11It's average, right?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's average. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Can you hold your breath for three minutes?
SPEAKER_11But she said, she's like, do this with your arms. So I did it with both arms, and she's like, that one's a lot bigger. Yeah. And then she pointed at that one and said, That one's big too. Anyway, miss that one. Yeah, I was gonna let it pass. Okay. And so they I went to MRI twice, came out, and they're like, Yep, she gone.
SPEAKER_02Like she gone.
SPEAKER_11Yep, and they tried to get me into surgery that night, didn't happen. So it wasn't.
SPEAKER_02Two days later, three days later. It was within the week.
SPEAKER_06But what do they do while you're waiting? Like, do they have to put it in something to immobilize it like it is now?
SPEAKER_11Yeah, I had it uh essentially the same thing.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it was the same thing, yeah. So they did the full-on, like it was in a soft cast, yeah.
SPEAKER_11Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_06So this is because they have to make sure it's not moving because the more you move it, the more it'll fuck it up, right? Right.
SPEAKER_11Okay. Yep. So this is a soft cast, it's like much more around it.
SPEAKER_02But the surgery was last Wednesday?
SPEAKER_11Yeah, on the 24th.
SPEAKER_02So now you've got a little bit of hard cast there. You were telling me yesterday it's hard right there, right? Oh, the rest of it's like it's harder than a few spots. Yeah, ooh, but but you said your hands numb, like your your fingers are like your thumb's numb. That's numb. That would scare me right there. That is numb to be a good thing. What do you think, medical doctor?
SPEAKER_09What do I think?
SPEAKER_02About his numb thumb.
SPEAKER_09Oh, it's just part of the swelling process. They probably fucked around with some of the nerves and stuff. It's a little inflamed, just moving things around, rearranging. See, that's what I said.
SPEAKER_02You don't even have to have a medical doctor to know that. All right. I mean, you're a doctor, you know. I could just fucking tell you what to do, dude.
SPEAKER_06I still call him Mr. Yeah. Yeah. Ain't special.
SPEAKER_09My specialty is talking about the daddy issues, but I mean.
SPEAKER_02Oh, from the story.
SPEAKER_06Well, our dad hasn't spoken to us in years, so we got some daddy issues. For Marvin.
SPEAKER_04Like a jerk.
SPEAKER_09For Marvin's your strategy of getting uh uh people into the Navy, just find the people with daddy issues, and then you know that'll be your your end game.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Yeah, you didn't teach me how to use this damn thing. Because you've missed like the badoom shh and the giggity. Come on, man. No.
SPEAKER_02He said daddy issues. Yes, yes, yes, daddy!
SPEAKER_11So I go in tomorrow. You can't read it, dude. I know.
SPEAKER_06I did the cheat sheet, I would have got it.
SPEAKER_02I know, yeah.
SPEAKER_11I go in tomorrow for my first uh eval, see what they say.
SPEAKER_02If you're able to high five, then you're good.
SPEAKER_11Yeah.
SPEAKER_06He's mostly looking forward to saying, hey, I just feel weird.
SPEAKER_11Right.
SPEAKER_02Throwing, riding, could you see that they put it off to the side a little bit? Like so it's stuck there. No, it's it's stuck like that. I was like, can you not? Oh man. Don't do it.
SPEAKER_04It's actually good that you get home to pump it.
SPEAKER_10It's actually good that you can't feel anything there now, because now it's like a ghost.
SPEAKER_11So let the hips do the work, right? There you go.
SPEAKER_02Cody puts a different uh meaning to stranger things when he gets home.
SPEAKER_11That's right.
SPEAKER_09So, what is it? What does this mean for your Iron Man?
SPEAKER_11I was just about to get to that. That means I'm $2,000 invested into something I can't do this year.
SPEAKER_02Oh neither can Ed because he's having surgery.
SPEAKER_06But you are able to still use it just another year.
SPEAKER_02At the end of this year, so they're gonna both defer till next year.
SPEAKER_06Uh wait, Ed's not doing his?
SPEAKER_02He has to get surgery on his shoulder.
SPEAKER_06What the fuck happened to him?
SPEAKER_02Yep. Well, he got an MI, his shoulders. Every time he's trying to swim, his shoulders are screwed up, so he got an MRI. He's got to get surgery on his shoulder.
SPEAKER_06It does. I didn't sign up for this shit.
SPEAKER_02So him and Cody are gonna defer till next year, but Chris will still do it.
SPEAKER_06Chris wasn't happy when I told him. I bet he's there by the case.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he went from being uh one of three, you know, three of you guys were doing it now. He's by himself. Oh solo, yep. He could always defer till next year.
SPEAKER_11He doesn't think he's gonna be here. He's trying to get orders out. Oh, yeah. He's trying to go to the Pacific somewhere.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Speaking of the Pacific, that's a great show.
SPEAKER_09Oh, yeah. Great. Wait, you would you just rewatched Band of Brothers, right?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I I I had only seen a couple episodes, but I watched the whole 10 episode series. And I'm on about I'm about halfway through the Pacific right now. Because I had only seen a couple episodes of that, too. It's very good. Well, they're World War II. Uh Band of Brothers is an army unit that goes over. To fight Nazi Germany over in Europe. The Pacific is the Marine Corps, 1st Battalion that goes over with Chesty Pull. You don't know who Chesty Puller is. Okay. I don't know if you know that. No, but anyway, Chesty Puller and the first went over to up the Pacific and Guadalcanal, Peleliu, all the all the Pacific fighting with the Japanese.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, he worked with Chasey Lane.
SPEAKER_02No offense, but I don't know who that is.
SPEAKER_04Janet Jameson? That one I know. Okay.
SPEAKER_02There was a yeah, you know the memes and stuff that come up on Facebook? Like, or the things. And it's like, if you know who this is, then we can be friends. And it's like this girl in a cow. And I don't, I didn't, I was like, well, she's in a Dallas like cheerleader. I was like, it's gotta be Debbie does Dallas. Oh I but I've never seen that. But I knew that I was like, that's gotta be it. So I look at the comments, they're like, it's Debbie. So like, oh okay. That's I need to.
SPEAKER_06But the one I showed you, uh, it was four things. Oh yeah. It was like four things. If you could bring one thing back, yeah, Circuit City, and one of them was I don't remember her name, but she was Heather something. She was like a blowjob. Lockler queen. No. No, she was a porn lady.
unknownHeather Harmon.
SPEAKER_08Heather Harmon?
SPEAKER_06No, that doesn't sound right. Maybe.
SPEAKER_08Doesn't matter. What kind of shows do you watch?
SPEAKER_02But what's funny is everybody knew.
SPEAKER_06If you saw her, you'd probably know.
SPEAKER_10What did you say? G Watt's no Heather Armin. G Watt knows Heather Harmon. Is what you say? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Well, either way, it was like which one would you bring back? And everybody knows who they bring back. Yeah.
SPEAKER_11So you said Blockbuster? I used to work there. Blockbuster. Circuit City. I bought my storylines at my house. I bought it from Circuit City.
SPEAKER_02We had a Circuit City in Jacksonville where Logan's is now. Like it was over there. Remember that? Yep. Circuit City, yeah, man. And uh Radio Shack existed around here, wasn't it in the mall?
SPEAKER_11There's a couple.
SPEAKER_02Is Toys R Us still open? Oh, they went out of business. I don't want to grow up. I'm a Toys R Us kid. There's a million Toys at Toys R Us that I can play with. From bikes to trains to video games, it's the biggest toy store there is. I don't want to grow up, because if I did, I wouldn't be a Toys R Us kid. You didn't know that song? Come on. Everybody knows that they're gonna be a good one.
SPEAKER_03Who the hell cash? Good one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they went out of business. I was sad. But you know what? There's no toy stores anymore. Why would there be? You got a phone. Yeah, but I mean, isn't that kind of the fun of bringing a kid into a toy store? Yeah, their eyes light up and it's like, you know.
SPEAKER_06Back in the day, when you're when Christmas is coming, they would take you to the toy store and you'd like make your list. Like go up and down the aisles and make it.
SPEAKER_11We had KB toys in them all. Yep, yeah. Yep.
SPEAKER_06That was just you go and just commercials. Yeah, we had a toy store in the Landhaven. Back when you're a kid, you'd watch commercials. That's right. Now it's like I can't wait to skip it. My finger's hovering where the skip button is going to be.
SPEAKER_02Or or yeah, me too, me too. Or but you take that shit like fuck now. Sunday paper had the coupons, and so you'd go through the sears and be like, circle things like I want that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course, you didn't get any of it, but the Christmas catalogs our dad was really good about Christmas. And I'll tell you what, man, like he he was raising us single dad, like on a painter's salary. Well, a maintenance guy and maintenance supervisor eventually, but a single dad. Yeah, single dad. And he we were in Cub Scouts. We were like he you know, he did everything.
SPEAKER_06But he did side jobs, he made sure he made sure.
SPEAKER_02He would do other things so he could afford the things that we needed. You don't realize it as you're a kid. When you're a kid, you don't realize these things that your parents get, you know. But when then you're the parents.
SPEAKER_06Now that you're a dad, you look back, I'm like, all the stuff that I've done. I think my dad was cool, man. Well, that's not a good thing.
SPEAKER_02Well, we hated him whenever we were in trouble, we hated him. We hated him when we were in trouble. We always did. Because my dad was he was very strict. Well, he was also a dad. Yeah, super strict. Knew exactly what we were doing wrong when we did it. Like never we could get nothing over on the city. You were the same way with Madison. And I was the same way with them. Yep. And Madison, oh my god, she will lie through her teeth. That's like Robbie. You can show a video of her doing something, and she will say, That's not her, that's AI. You know? The P was. Where do you do it? You know her. You know she's a literary. She fucking sticks to it, dude. Yep. And I'm like, Madison, you mop the floor because it's not wet. Neither is the the Swiffer. It's not wet. The mop's not wet. Nothing's wet. And where did you put the Swiffer when you were done? Back where it goes. I burned it. So no, it hasn't moved from when I used it in my bathroom. Hasn't moved. It's still in there. That's how I know you didn't do anything, you see, and you're still lying to me. She's like, I did.
SPEAKER_04I'm like, oh my God, you're a liar. That's even more infuriating.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's infuriating because you know she's lying. She knows she's lying, and she's like, no, I'm not gonna admit that.
SPEAKER_09It's like my younger son. All right, man. It's like my uh younger son the other day. The stuff.
unknownThe uh guts.
SPEAKER_02Good luck with your guts. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Uh he was lying to me about brushing his teeth in the morning. He's like, I was like, did you brush your teeth? He's like, yep. I was like, are you sure? He said, yep. I said, come here, let me smell your breath. And he was like, okay. Walked over. I was like, oh hell no, you did not brush your teeth.
SPEAKER_02Shit no, man. Shit no.
SPEAKER_10He was like, damn.
SPEAKER_02Why would you want well a kid? You know, they didn't the same thing. Yeah, they don't get the importance of it.
SPEAKER_06My dad was like, No brush your teeth. I'm like, I did, for sure.
SPEAKER_02You don't want to go to school stinking though, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_09I saw that hesitancy of him thinking, like, damn, is my breath really gonna stink that bad? Is he gonna notice?
SPEAKER_06And you've just told me everything.
SPEAKER_02Do you remember like being in school and you're like, is that me? Right. And then it's not you, it's like some other kid with like fucking bad breath. Yep. Thank you, sir.
SPEAKER_11Now it would be worse because everybody's like, they start peeing each other, like, oh my god, John's breath is horrible, and then it's out in the world. You know?
SPEAKER_02Well, but that back then we were more bullyish than they are now. You know, we bully.
SPEAKER_06I think it's a different kind of bullying, but I think our bullying was healthier.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Although I had a friend one time. My friend and how was it healthier?
SPEAKER_06And I put a catch-up pack on his own. I think ours toughened you up. Ours was to your face and it toughened you up. It's more direct, at least. Yeah, it's right there. I have a chance to now rebut, you know. But on online, you put that shit out there, and now everyone has this story, and you have no chance to like, well, no, it wasn't this, it was da da da da. And then, because of the way the internet is, even if you get on there and say something like that, everyone's gonna believe what they want to believe. They'll have you right there, physically like Russian propaganda, man. I think it was infinitely better. Oh, I think.
SPEAKER_02I think bullying is important, but I think So you think bullying is necessary to a degree? To a degree, yes. Roger, psychiatrist, what do you think?
SPEAKER_11I think dealing with and are like dealing with indifferent.
SPEAKER_06I think having to I think as a man with bullying, I think as a man you teach you something.
SPEAKER_02If you grow up in a vacuum chamber with no bullying ever, and then you go out into the real world and now you're being bullied in a different way. But we're seeing that firsthand in a different way by your co-workers and things like that, and you can't freaking handle it. Probably never teaching it. Because you've never been told no, you've had a helicopter paired over you, you've never had to try out for anything because everybody got a trophy.
SPEAKER_06Like, imagine your kid and and I did the same thing, dad is and and Madison, dad is saying, Did you brush your teeth? And you're clearly lying, but you learned how to lie better.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Now you're 23, you've never had to lie because you've never, you know, and now your buddy is is calling you on some bullshit, and you're like, No, like you're like, dude, you're clearly lying. Like, I'm not a fucking idiot. Yeah. And now you're ostracized because you don't know the rules of society.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, I mean, I that's one area, but I mean, I think. Well, I know, no, no, no, no, no. But what I'm saying is on a more this this uh generation, and it's been going on for 20 years now, this generation uh is getting softer because we're and and again, I'm not I'm not saying go bully and beat the crap, you know. I there's we teach our kids if they hit you first, hit them back. And I'll always teach my kids that I don't care what the school says, what the policy is, yeah, we're always gonna defend ourselves. I'm always gonna have your back. You're always gonna do it. I don't care what the law is, we're gonna defend ourselves.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's just that simple. If that means if you made a rule in school where they're both expelled because you were defending yourself, I don't care. That's fine. Defend yourself. Right. Exactly. Defend yourself. And that's part of the problem of uh of public schools. But if you homeschool, which they say is really on the rise right now because people are fed up with public school, but if you homeschool now, they're still not around those right, you know, those people and they're not getting that interaction. You kind of need that. You need to be told you're a little bitch sometimes, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I guess.
SPEAKER_02If you're being a little bitch, yeah, your parents aren't gonna tell you to get corrected.
SPEAKER_06I'll tell them. Yep. Society, that's the whole point is society has to correct you. If if like back in the day when the the village idiot is being a fucking village idiot, they would ostracize him, you know, and the and the town would thrive for it. Like you could.
SPEAKER_02We grew up in Virginia Beach, so we were basically at minority there, you know what I mean? And we got bullied, we got picked on, we got you know you remember, and we dealt with it. And we fucking dealt with it, and we fought and we defended ourselves. It makes you stronger, it makes you stronger, even though we didn't win every fight.
SPEAKER_06It's important for a guy to struggle, though, because I think it the struggles make a guy stronger.
SPEAKER_02Well, the girls' struggles are different, though.
SPEAKER_06Girls are just fucking cruel.
SPEAKER_02They're catty and mean, but yeah, you know theirs are all mental.
SPEAKER_06Like that shit is.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it makes you think of that movie Heathers.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean? Or uh Mean Girls, I guess, with girls. So Huh. Somebody doing a what? Oh, a TikTok? Oh, he's doing a tic-tac.
SPEAKER_06A ticky-talkie.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's embarrassing. That's embarrassing. We see you. He's just doing it.
SPEAKER_06Grow up and do a podcast.
SPEAKER_02He's just doing it. I mean, that's it's he's out there dancing a weird dance. That's crazy. I mean, more power to me.
SPEAKER_11So when you're talking about your dad being a single dad, raising two girls, it's I mean, I'm in the same boat, right? So, Cody with the bird! Got him. You got anything for that one?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, a lot of assholes around here, not too many butts.
SPEAKER_11That's right.
unknownI don't know why.
SPEAKER_02What are you trying to look for? Thank you.
unknownAre you serious?
SPEAKER_11You got this? I believe in you. That's not it. No. You need your bifocals? There you go.
SPEAKER_01Here we go. Well, hey, we're old. You know what?
SPEAKER_11You remember when your dad, you were saying your dad was addicted to you. He was anything.
SPEAKER_06He wasn't a dick. He was very strict. Stern, strict, very strict when it needed to be. Yeah. Discipline? Discipline, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we needed to be like you're not just gonna be a fucking bump on a log through life.
SPEAKER_06Right. Just like all kids, we were little shits. Mm-hmm.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06So do you think stabbing the arm with a pencil? I mean, you fucking deserved it, dude. Yeah, I'm just walking by do do stab, don't do do do. That's not what happened.
SPEAKER_02You deserve to be in a home, dude.
SPEAKER_10Well I still have a piece of pencil that's stuck in my ass cheek from where my brother stayed. Oh, I was tough enough.
SPEAKER_02I was tough enough to reach in there and pull it out. Oh, we couldn't get it. But it was in me.
SPEAKER_09He was watching cartoons, he was watching cartoons and he thought it was funny when you know people sat on like thumbtags or something like that. Oh no. He did that with the pencil and they sat down and that shit went in and broke. Damn.
SPEAKER_02And he didn't like jump up like a cartoon.
SPEAKER_09I I did. And he thought it was funny. By then it was already embedded. Damn. My grandma tried to get it out. We couldn't get it out. Robbie still has a BB in his eye. Yeah, he does.
SPEAKER_02Robbie has a BB. Our dad's cousin had a BB in his eye right here. Like for the longest time. He shot right in the freaking eye, but the BB stayed in there. Yeah, our dad actually went with my, I guess, uncle. It's his cousin. Not uh uncle, like second cousin. His cousin. It's just a good one. And they went out shooting. Guys shooting a sawed-off shotgun or something. It came back and hit him right.
SPEAKER_06A sawed-off shotgun's got some kick. Made a circle, right? Try to do like straight arms.
SPEAKER_02You could see, because my cut my dad's cousin was like, ah, you can do one hand, man. It's easy. And he was just setting them up. But it came back, hit my dad in the in the head, and it put a perfect circle. You could see his skull. Yeah. Perfect circle. Yeah, it was nasty. My dad was like, yeah, check it out. Stupid. Jeez.
SPEAKER_06But I've again, it comes back to I think this, all of this stuff. One, it gives you a great story. Yeah. Yeah. But also it toughens you up. You gotta be tough as a guy. Can't be no little bitch. You gotta take that fucking gumberry. What up? The gumberry? Gumberry? That's what I said. A gummy bear. Gummy gummy bear. Gummy bear. You gotta take that gumberry like a man.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's why I don't drink, dude. I don't need it.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, growing up in Virginia Beach, I'm sure it was like growing up in San Diego. Everybody had their story. No, I mean in that it's a city where you're you're gonna be bullied at some point.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I think um I was I was the only like I want to say like me and one other person was like Vietnamese.
SPEAKER_11But where in San Diego did you grow up? We were the only white guys.
SPEAKER_09Southeast San Diego. So like down in the middle. Chola Vista? No. Uh further north than that, like National City. Oh yeah. Paradise Hills area.
SPEAKER_06I don't think they're allowed to say Cholo Vista. I was just gonna say, dude, that sounded a little racist.
SPEAKER_09That's just what they call it. You also have Mir Mesa, really full of Vietnamese people, but like in my school, it was like uh black, Mexican, Filipino.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but you said you're only half Vietnamese. Yeah. What's the other half?
SPEAKER_09Chinese.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I knew that. I need to go there. I like Asian. So your dad's Chinese, he but he's the one that lives in Vietnam right now. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Because he loves it there. Yeah. He's got businesses there and also.
SPEAKER_02The reason we were talking about that is because of the trip that he and me and my big brother are gonna do. Oh, older brother's brother. We're gonna do that. Older brother. Well, I guess big brother. He's also our big brother. He's bigger. Yeah, Jerry's my big brother too. Anyway, uh, so he wanted to go to the Philippines because it's gonna be cheap.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. That's the Philippines. And very much money. They have more money than me.
SPEAKER_02But he was telling me Vietnam is very nice and cheap.
SPEAKER_06I'm okay with that too. I don't care. Just don't drink the water.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah. That's anywhere but America, isn't it?
SPEAKER_11Yeah, probably. Or the ice. Either way.
SPEAKER_06Either way, like the first month when we talked about it, we chose everything, and I'm like sending them stuff. I'm like, how about this? You guys pick any places. What do you think about this? Not one of them. Yeah, yeah, I'll get in the middle.
SPEAKER_02No, I've been looking it up. Not only have I been looking it up, I've been going on VR in the Philippines to see these places. No, I have. I've gone to the places to see where we're gonna land. I'm trying to find Cody, what are we doing?
SPEAKER_00I saw him doing us. Ever so slightly.
SPEAKER_02It's ever so slight.
SPEAKER_06But they're not there. Robbie can't get away from his wife, and Lee.
SPEAKER_02Dude, she might hear this.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. And Lee won't get away from his dog. Hey, you better watch your fucking talking about Penny Lane. I'll be going somewhere alone if it if anything happens, it's gonna be me by myself.
SPEAKER_11I've got a week on, week off. So you say when. Done.
SPEAKER_02Dude, me and you could get on a Space A flight and fly for free to Germany next week.
SPEAKER_11Yeah. Coming home will be a problem.
SPEAKER_02So what? We're retired.
SPEAKER_11I got obligations.
SPEAKER_02Who cares?
SPEAKER_11My kids might.
SPEAKER_02Who cares?
SPEAKER_09He's gonna miss his physical therapy appointments. Yeah, true. How much is physical therapy? Oh, you definitely.
SPEAKER_02I need you to take this pole and I need you to move it back and forth like that a bunch. Oh ma'am, I've got that down. I've got that part down.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Is that your physical therapy?
SPEAKER_11I don't know. We'll find out tomorrow, I guess. He's gonna learn. No kidding.
SPEAKER_02Well, hopefully it's not a dude.
SPEAKER_11I hope it's like this doctor.
SPEAKER_02Oh, bring it. She's foxy, huh? Oh, yeah. She has a big old ring on her finger, doesn't she?
SPEAKER_11Big old fat ring.
SPEAKER_02Dang rabbit. The good ones are always taken, aren't they?
SPEAKER_11She walked in, I was like, I'm in love. Like parking spots.
SPEAKER_02He so we we figured out what Cody's um type is. Married women. Married women.
SPEAKER_11That's not by choice. It is not. I don't know what it is. Single women are like, ew, gross. Married women are like, fucking, let's go.
SPEAKER_06That's because they're done. Yeah, they're done being married, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they already, yeah. They don't have to try anymore. You know, the man always tries. What are your hey, you have thoughts on this? Hold on. We're gonna let's talk about something very controversial real quick.
SPEAKER_06You really want to get into this?
SPEAKER_02Let's do it. So Jared reads this stuff. It's gonna be you getting the hate, not me.
SPEAKER_06I don't give a shit.
SPEAKER_02So Jared reads this stuff. He's so anti-woman. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_06I would argue I'm more pro-women than most women.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So, so tell me your theory or who you're listening to.
SPEAKER_06This is a long fucking story. Well, who's the guy?
SPEAKER_02The guy that writes something.
SPEAKER_06There's a there's it's not just one guy.
SPEAKER_02No, the podcast that you listen to.
SPEAKER_06There's like three of them. You know who I'm talking about. It sells United. No, that's on my uh B swap. That's the B side. Uh his name is Myron Gaines. Uh the podcast is Fresh and Fit.
SPEAKER_02I think I know who you're talking about. And so you and what's it about? Oh, what's the book he wrote?
SPEAKER_06Why women deserve less.
SPEAKER_02What's his name?
SPEAKER_06Myron Gaines. Myron Gaines.
SPEAKER_02And why women deserve less. And you read it?
SPEAKER_06No, not yet.
SPEAKER_09What is the premise of that? Right. There's a lot that goes.
SPEAKER_06It's he's he's simple, he's oversimplifying it to make it sound bad.
SPEAKER_02I knew it was him. I've seen him. I knew it was him.
SPEAKER_06He's oversimplifying it to make it sound bad, but if you if you went all the way back to before the 19th Amendment when women couldn't vote, and you looked at society, and then you fast forward, every single thing that women have had authority over, trans rights, uh gays, uh all the th all the degenerate canceled. You fucking over the gorgeous, keep going. All the degenerate things in the world today, you know, even marriage, 80% of marriages fail. And now because of uh feminists and and leftists, you don't even have to have a reason. Uh what's what's the main reason now for divorce now? Uh it's like 90% of divorce. Because I'm bored. It's basically boredom, but it's it's no fault divorce. It's not there's no cheating, there's no infidelity, there's no he wasn't beating you. Because now all the feminists are like don't trust a man because he could leave you and he could beat you and all this other stuff. Men don't leave. 80% of all relationships, the woman initiates the breakup.
SPEAKER_02Well, 58% of all statistics are made up, though.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but I only 60% of those are true.
SPEAKER_02Ah, true.
SPEAKER_06Um there's there's we'd have to do a whole podcast on this because I could talk for hours on that.
SPEAKER_02Well, just talk for a couple more minutes on it.
SPEAKER_11I've heard a little bit about what we're just talking about. So I mean, through all the Facebook that this thing is.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but so your answer is.
SPEAKER_06The man needs to lead.
SPEAKER_02Women? What do we think about this? Let's hear some comments.
SPEAKER_06I will say, hold on. Women are more so uh they're they will always buckle to societal pressures. With if they find a man attractive, they have to check with their girlfriend. Oh, really? Yeah. But if a man, if you find this chick attractive and we think she's butt ugly, that's a guy, dude.
SPEAKER_02That's chance right there. What are you talking about? Well, the hair. The hair threw me. I mean, not that you're not attractive, chance, just you're not my type. You could get it. You're not my type.
SPEAKER_06My point is that they are way more easy to use propaganda. Uh they're all all of the if you watch any commercial on TV right now, they're all led because women are what 70% of the consumer base and they have 80% of the the the debt in in the in the United States right now. Like, and these are these are I'm not just making I I think every single person are made of. Hold on. Look up every single statistic that I'm talking about right now and fact check me. Comment on it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, do your research. Yeah, give your own, always do your own research.
SPEAKER_02Do you ever see the uh the the talk shows and stuff that go out on the street and they're like doing a petition to end women's suffrage? Yeah, and and how many people are.
SPEAKER_06Oh yeah, women's suffrage. Oh my god, they're fucking retarded. Also, not all women are retarded. Oh, that's just not all women are retarded. I'm saying that the that the younger generation, because they're all pretty and they just want to party and they just want to do this, and they're all ignorant.
SPEAKER_02Oh, they can't answer anything about what state capitals are.
SPEAKER_06They go down the streets as well, uh, and they're like, tell me what do you think of men? Oh, men are men are garbage. Men are men are shit, men are they ain't shit, da da da da. And then they go ask all these men, oh what do you think of women? Oh, I love women. Women are great. You know, you know, that's why. Do you really want me to keep going? Yes. Yeah, women are fucking retarded and they should not be shit. They shouldn't be in charge of anything. Sure. How are you pro women? That's what I'm gonna. You said that's a good thing. Because ever since the seventies, they did a they did a study on women's happiness. And every I think every ten years or so, they do they do a study, and uh steadily women have gotten less and less happy over the years. In a relationship. In no need to be back in the kitchen.
SPEAKER_02You need to think they need to be back in the kitchen. 100% making a sandwich.
SPEAKER_06But hold on. It's because our feet got too big. No, listen, listen. More women are on antidepressants, more women are on uh anti-anxiety pills, more women are unhealthily like more women were overweight. Like statistically, on average, I think the women are like 170 pounds now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I noticed that from like having tender they're all overweight.
SPEAKER_06Love your body.
SPEAKER_09I think that you're not going to be able to do even men are following that same trend though.
SPEAKER_06And it's I look at myself in the mirror, I'm like, ugh. That's the same thing.
SPEAKER_02What do you mean? Hold on, hold on. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_09I mean that like men, or I guess like you when you're talking about like statistics of people on like medications for mental health issues, like men are also increasing on that. So just as much.
SPEAKER_06I don't know about the same rate as I think that men are becoming less and less men because they're all raised by women. Single mothers, single mothers are responsible for the majority of the men in prison.
SPEAKER_02Do you think that this is what informs your your uh because you were raised by dad, we were raised by a man, we were not raised by mom. We were we weren't. We love our mother.
SPEAKER_09Let me give you a real world example of what happened when I was uh when I was over at the umstance abuse rehab when I was leading some of the groups there. It was it was in the morning and everybody was we usually have like a little uh icebreaker just to kind of talk about things. And I came in a little bit later, but they were in this heated discussion and the room was basically split on two sides. Um there were predominantly men. I think this this particular group was about like 30 men, and they were split almost like 50-50, where one side was saying, I wish my uh I wish my dad was never in my life, that he ruined my life, and like I wish I never met him, I wish he was had an o part of my life, and the other part was saying, I wish my dad was around and was involved in my life. And the fact that it was like on both sides, and they were both arguing, you know, the grass is greener on the other side, sort of thing, um, I think that that abstracts the importance of having a father. But I also do believe that on the on the mother side, there is an aspect of it as well. Like you if you have a good enough father that is willing to talk about emotions and willing to kind of explore some of these things and figure out what they feel when they're getting bullied at school, and more than just like a good man to raise a man. Yeah, well, to do it the right way, right?
SPEAKER_06To be like Yeah, don't just beat the shit out of your kid. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_09No, no, no, I mean like even how you deal with conflict, it's not just with hands, it's and I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_06That's how we learn that's how a man learns to be a man, is usually through his father.
SPEAKER_02The first thing we learned was our was wit, was was to, you know, because of our name. We had to learn how to come back from that because we were going to be bullied throughout school, and my dad grew up with that name, but his dad didn't. His dad changed his name. So my my grandpa is is Bill Butt. But his last name on his birth certificates Einstein. His family like his dad was adopted by the Einsteins or something. It's not like Albert Einstein, but you know, we used to be told this when we were because oh, it's Albert Einstein. No, it's not. But it's but it's but the name was Einstein, and he he hated his dad. My grandpa was very racist, didn't like to be called a Jew and all that stuff, so he changed his name to his mother's maiden name, which is Butt. Well, so my dad had to grow up.
SPEAKER_06But didn't mean butt back then.
SPEAKER_02Well, it did then. Dad had to go. Well, because so our dad had to go through all and his brother had to go all through school with this name, and my grandpa didn't, so my dad really resented him for that. And but by the time we did, it was like, dude, that helped us become who we are today because had I not had this name, I would not be as witty and funny and quick wit. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_11So boy named Sue, essentially.
SPEAKER_02It really, it really is like a boy named Sue. Like you get you get a quick wit and you get thick skin, and you don't, it's like, oh, that's the best you can do. That's so hilarious. God, when I was in third grade, I heard that same thing from another third grader. God, and you're how old?
SPEAKER_06You know, it's like it's good to see that they're progressing.
SPEAKER_02It's like Roxanne, where he's like, hit the hit, hit a number and I'll make that many more jokes better than what you just did.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, it's kind of it reminds me of like I I think I've said this before where you can't have an easy life and do uh and have good character.
SPEAKER_02Like there's a easy times create soft men, yeah, yeah, soft men create hard times, hard times, but hard times create hard men, strong men, strong men, strong men, and strong men create butchering this. No, I mean I mean it's that it's that essentially.
SPEAKER_09But I mean like on the individual, right? Like as you're like developing and you're going through all that all of that, but you know, I think to as a reb shit as a rebuttal to uh as a rebuttal to to yours, I do think that women do have uh hold a significant um amount of uh responsibility in terms of like protecting and nurturing kids.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean that's where you're gonna get your sympathy and empathy from. Well, it's not just that.
SPEAKER_09Not that dads can't do that either, but I mean, but you look at, you know, and me dealing with a lot of the Marines, a lot of them resent their moms, but for what reason? It was because their dad was abusive and the mom stuck around. Yeah, just sat through it. Yeah. And they felt like their mom was like too much of uh a wuss. Yeah, push out to like back out of it. Yeah, and they resent their moms for that. Yeah, and it's fucked up because you're the adult that could have helped me. Yes, and the mom was the victim in this, but you're gonna blame the mom for being a big thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but think about a little kid that doesn't have any help.
SPEAKER_09But yeah, exactly. So here they are, like, you know, uh it's not their fault they're blaming their mom, it's the dad's fault for doing it the first fucking day. But they're not willing to blame their dad. That's how strong that holder is.
SPEAKER_06They're just expecting still the mom's fault because she's you think it's the mom's fault. I think that's the dad is a I think that dating is dating for a reason, and if you get with an abusive man, all the signs are that- Our mom looks for the worst people.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. Except our dad.
SPEAKER_06But that's my point is that everybody else was terrible. Is over the years, women have been have been given more and more authority back in the day when when your dad chose who you were gonna marry, he's not worrying about if he's handsome or how he makes you feel. He's worrying if he's gonna be a good man, if he's gonna prov protect and provide, he's worrying about if he's gonna be good for you. But women date because of how you make them feel. And dating needs to be a long process. How many women are getting married because they're like, oh, he makes me feel so wonderful. Right. And then they get pregnant because everybody's fucking.
SPEAKER_09It's not a one-sided decision. The guy's got a say in that too. And the fact that they're not a one-sided decision because they deal with it.
SPEAKER_06When she makes the one-sided decision to leave a bad man, that's one-sided.
SPEAKER_09But I'm saying to get together. Make her happy and get married and do the whole, you know, do the whole thing as a young Marine and just hop on the city. Who's in charge and whatnot?
SPEAKER_06If you make a bad decision, who's in charge of that?
SPEAKER_09Everybody is responsible for their own decisions.
SPEAKER_06Who's in charge if you make a bad decision? Me. Right.
SPEAKER_09Right. Okay, so if I make a bad decision and I get into this, you know, you know, awful, shitty situation, right? What do you do if you uh are in that relationship and that is the financial stability because that's what a man's supposed to do, right? And at the same time of him providing the computer.
SPEAKER_06But you guys are taking all of the responsibility off mom because she was poor mom and she was probably abused, which is horrible. Don't do that.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I'm just 100% agree. I I just think that it's a good idea. You need to take accountability for your actions. For like what getting in the relationship in the first place? Yeah. But what I'm saying is, what are you doing when you court?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but everybody's putting on a show when they first start dating. Exactly. They're all putting on a show. Oh, and how long does the show last?
SPEAKER_06How long does the show last year?
SPEAKER_02It depends on how long that person can keep putting that persona on for you.
SPEAKER_06That's why you didn't have sex before marriage and you courted for a long time.
SPEAKER_02I know. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_09How many people are rearing kids that aren't actually theirs, but they don't know it? Exactly. Probably tons.
SPEAKER_06Exactly.
SPEAKER_09And so you can keep up that act up for a long time, both men and female. Well, I mean, my dad, my dad had my half-sister while my parents were still married.
SPEAKER_06I think that accountability is a huge thing.
SPEAKER_09And we found out after that.
SPEAKER_02We found out after you thought it was your mom's wait.
SPEAKER_09No, it was he had a whole extramarital relationship with a kid with her, and we didn't find out until after they divorced and all this stuff. I was like, the math's not math, and like you guys were you know, right? But you know, you look at situations like that, um and you know, you look at okay, there's a lot of manipulation kind of throughout all of it, right? There's a lot of manipulation throughout all of this. And so I will say that um I vehemently disagree with it. I don't think that everything has gone wrong, but that women have been in charge of.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, I I just so we talk about this all the time, and I'm like, how are you? What I mean is all the time being twice.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Uh I'm just like I'm shocked. I'm like, what? You're saying what? But I usually don't talk about this, but you're back in it. But that's what that's what we need. Hot topics.
SPEAKER_09I think when this isn't like when you when you talk about extremes of like everything and all things that women I'm not saying that. I'm okay.
SPEAKER_06How about it? Okay. Then I take it back. Not all women are fucking retards. I think that you said 80% earlier. Hot take people. I said 80% of women initiate divorces. Whatever. Actually, it's 70% of it's 70% of 90% of uh like college educated women, so I usually say about 80%.
SPEAKER_02How many women do you do you know that have been married multiple times?
SPEAKER_06I'm not going off of personal anecdotal in our family. Well, I know a couple, but uh but that's my thing is I'm not going off of that. I'm going off of cold hard statistics. I know, but that's the same thing. I'm not going off of feelings, I'm not going to be able to do that. That fits the statistic. I know.
SPEAKER_02Because every man they married was only married like once, maybe twice, but they were married multiple times.
SPEAKER_06Men very rarely leave. A man will be unhappy to make it work. A woman will sacrifice the family for her happiness. I mean, I can't disagree.
SPEAKER_02Look at me, I've been married 28 years this year and I'm not married anymore. She wasn't happy and I'm not married anymore.
SPEAKER_06But I'm still married. I mean, and married anybody. Hold on. But I also want to put it out there that I think that marriage is extremely important. The nuclear family is what makes America great, and we need more of it, not less of it. So I'm not saying that, you know, all women are evil and they're out to get us. I'm just saying that they're hypergamous by nature.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, fuck not me.
SPEAKER_06By nature, they're looking for the best man that they can possibly get. Yeah, right. I'm right here. For their heart or for their biology is making sure women want someone taller, they want someone who makes them safe, they want someone smarter, they want someone that makes them more money, they want and this is all biology. There's nothing wrong with this. This is good. This is a good thing.
SPEAKER_11Well, I fill into the materialistic side of that.
unknownThank you.
SPEAKER_11That's what she wanted was a materialistic lifestyle.
SPEAKER_06But the problem is because of social media. Because around like if this was a small town, you know, the women have these men to choose from, and they're gonna try and get the best man that they can get, and that's great, and the and the marriage would usually last forever because this is your small town. But now, because of social media, they got guys from fucking Dubai writing them and flying them out and taking them out on yachts, and they think because he wants to fuck you because you're hot, that oh, I can get that guy. But no, you can't. You can fuck that guy, but he's not gonna make you a wife. That's how you that's how you're not taking you home to meet mom and dad.
SPEAKER_09So at what point are you that also seems like extremely toxic as well, from a m like from a male perspective. It absolutely is. So it's like, how do you correct that?
SPEAKER_06I think that I think that you didn't have these problems back when men were in charge. I think that in order to correct it, you need to take the authority back.
SPEAKER_02Damn, we're gonna have some good clips out of this.
SPEAKER_06I think that if I think if you take the authority back, if you if you stop letting He's my brother, but I don't know him that well. If you stop letting people make life decisions based off of emotions and and put it on the back of a person who's more likely to use logic and reason and the the well-being of his family, put that first, so I want to hear from the women.
SPEAKER_02I want to hear from the women. I want to hear what you think about this because maybe you agree.
SPEAKER_06Maybe you think I think that if you get if you get most women who have been married for 20 plus years, if you can look at it objectively, respect, admire, and love their husband, and they and they they adhere to what he says and they trust him enough because they've been through it with him enough to know that he's the natural leader. He's gonna take the natural lead. And women want this, they want something.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but what happens at 20 years when it just ends because you didn't know what's like oh, I guess my life is different. Here we go.
SPEAKER_06I have theories. I can't I don't know without talking about her, talking to her. I think that once she was not a stay-at-home mom anymore, she went to work and all these people because Gina's a beautiful woman.
SPEAKER_02She did that 10 years before I retired, though.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you think it has happens overnight? No. I think 10 years of people telling her she's great, telling her how great she is, and all of these emotions, and and now she's a girl boss, and now she's you know, she she can do it all. She doesn't need a man, you know. She doesn't she her emotions took over. But now does she regret it? I don't know. Yes, she does. She does. She does. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02But doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_06When a man makes a lot of money, the first thought is I can raise a family, I can take care of people. When a woman gets a lot of money, from the man. When a woman gets a lot of money, I don't need a man, is usually what they're thinking.
SPEAKER_09I think when guys, especially nowadays, that toxic masculinity.
SPEAKER_06The problem is, is you're going off of nowadays. We've had a hundred, however, however many years of of this stuff building up and all the propaganda in in the TV, on the radio, in the music that we listen to, whop. Let's fuck out of these. And I believed all this shit too. So when I'm seeing all this stuff and slowly coming into it, I was like, Because he has daughters, you know. Yeah, I want my daughters to be happy and healthy and and have a great life. But the more I researched into it, and I wasn't even looking for this stuff. Uh but I was just as deep into the propaganda as everybody else, because you don't realize it. It's just like everything else with the people that we can't mention. They've they've gotten so deep into everything that you don't realize it until it's too late.
SPEAKER_02Who can't we mention?
SPEAKER_06Uh we're on YouTube right now. So is it Israel? Yes. Oh, crap. I'll beat that out.
SPEAKER_04Dart my neck to teach. I talk I can talk about women all day, but the second that hits, you talk about that that I ooh, you're in trouble.
SPEAKER_11There's one chick I see on Facebook. Uh she's always holding the phone and she kind of like slides into the frame like she's in a mirror.
SPEAKER_06She does, she talks about a lot of I love watching her stuff because she's great. Because that's how women think now. All if you go on TikTok, you can't go on TikTok for too long without. If you I'll I'll tell you what, just as an experience, experiment, go on TikTok and have a man bashing reel or whatever the hell they're called.
SPEAKER_11I don't have TikTok because I'm pro-America. Thank you.
SPEAKER_06But TikTok is pro-America. That's how you want to make it big on TikTok, just start bashing men.
SPEAKER_09Or talk shit about yeti.
SPEAKER_04Talk shit about what?
SPEAKER_09Yeti.
SPEAKER_11I think what you hear what he said? Talk shit about a yeti? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we'll get comments all day long. Uh TK was a bit more. No, TK. TK was talking crap about the Yeti.
SPEAKER_06I wanted to get him that they're overhyped.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he said that. And everybody's like, it's perfectly fine. They're not supposed to make you colder. They're supposed to keep it cold.
SPEAKER_00I'm an internet warrior.
SPEAKER_02I love internet warriors. Because they feed our algorithm. Please give us the hate. Because they feed the algorithm.
SPEAKER_04That's why I wanted to. That's why you want to be to talk about this.
SPEAKER_02Yes. If you can't, if you can't have viral clips that are just good things, you gotta have shit like this. No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_06Don't plaster my body. I'm not afraid to talk about it. I just it's a good thing. I know, but it's like I don't want to get you canceled.
SPEAKER_02Are you doing it just because you're following this one guy, or have you believed this forever?
SPEAKER_06But the main this this guy that I'm telling you about is because of the information that you and I were talking about recently. And that's the information I'm assuming you wanted me to talk about. This other guy I talk about, he's a he's a orthodox Christian. He believes in monogamy, he believes in all, and so do I. I I very much believe.
SPEAKER_02Wait a second.
SPEAKER_06That's a good smelling wood. What? Smelling wood? Mahogany, right? Mahogany. Misogyny? I don't know what you're talking about. All right, anyway. Um he's the guy I watch the most.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I think you confuse you know monogamy and misogyny. Misogy. Or mahogany. Mahogany. Did I say mahogany or something?
SPEAKER_04I don't know what's happening there.
SPEAKER_02He said misogyny. He's good. He said misogynists.
SPEAKER_04My ADD is like going bananas right now.
SPEAKER_06Bear with it. Well, either way, I watch him more than anybody else. Closer on the mic. I watch him more than anything else because I believe in the other guy that I watch, his statistics are right, but he also believes in, you know, a man should be able to sleep around and all this other stuff. Yes, and there's an argument there biologically, but I still don't believe it because I'm a Christian and I believe that the nuclear family, ever since the nuclear family started getting further more deteriorating more and more, by design, they want it. That's why the United States has become the cesspool that it that it is now. It was we were a once great nation, and we can get back there if we would just start celebrating the nuclear family again. Yeah, but what are they pushed?
SPEAKER_02But what have they pushed on every TV show for the last 20 years?
SPEAKER_06Every single father on every single TV show is the bumbling idiot. Yeah, and the mom is always the woman who's doing everything and just basically. No matter the show, it's always some stupid guy that's the dad.
SPEAKER_02That's right, Albony. Yeah. It's just ridiculous. Even though we love those characters, we love those characters. But one of my favorites. They make them stupid on purpose.
SPEAKER_06But that's what I mean by um all the propaganda that's out there because you don't realize it. You're just this is just what out there. All the music, all the TV shows, all the movies, everything that's being put out there is pushed to move society in this direction. And it's look at it. Like look, you you know You know what you should do?
SPEAKER_09You should have hop on uh Chat GPT, put your thoughts on, and say, like, make a counter-argument. I I argue with AI all the time.
SPEAKER_06It's ridiculous. Because because AI is also there's so much propaganda in there. Because I've researched these things extensively. And I don't just like, oh, I found one thing on Google, so that's the right thing. You find three reliable sources on each different topic, and then you try and journal articles, and you try and find up oppos uh the opposition and find thank you.
SPEAKER_09Is it because your AI is female?
SPEAKER_02I tell you what, that I think that's most of the problem. As a joint, AI is way better.
SPEAKER_06Hold on, hold on. There was there was like a YouTube short of they they put uh the female AI and they asked her a question, and she was like, I don't want to talk about it. It was like count to a million. And he's like, that would take too long. Is there anything else I could do to and then they changed it to a man's voice and they were and they said count to a million? He's like, on it one, two, like gave me what you asked for. It didn't like it was just funny. But I think that was just a joke.
SPEAKER_11You said your AI was a man, mine's a man.
SPEAKER_02So mine's always right.
SPEAKER_11Mine's Jerome.
SPEAKER_02Jerome. Yeah, but listen, I made my AI name itself.
SPEAKER_11Did you?
SPEAKER_02It wouldn't do it. It was like, I whatever name you say, I was like, you're gonna name yourself. Pretend you're the like you're naming yourself, and it named itself Keel, like the keel of a ship, you know, whatever. So I'm like, morning, Keel. Hey, good morning, Lee. What are we working on today? And like, I need you to edit something because I wrote like a whole chapter and I think I repeated myself too many times. Read this. And it's like a whole fucking chapter, and it's like, yeah, you repeated yourself in these paragraphs, delete.
SPEAKER_06I don't pay for it. Damn it. I don't pay for it, but I will use it every once in a blue moon. Uh, but I try not to use it for any of that type of research because I want to find legitimate sources, not just because I ask I I did ask it because I was I was like, you're full of shit, and I'm arguing with this. Yeah, like I'm getting repeated. I'm like, what are you fucking kidding me? Like I'm cussing at this inanimate object like it's like it's a person. Yep. So I'm like, where are you getting your information from? And they were like, well, it it has all of the internet, and we all know everything. On the internet's true. Absolutely. So if this is all of the internet and this percentage of it is correct, but it's taking from all of this, of course it's going to get a lot of it wrong. That's right.
SPEAKER_02No, it does. And I tell it, I'm like, wait, what about this? And they're like, oh, you're totally right about that. I'm like, yeah, but I could have killed somebody had I listened to you.
SPEAKER_06You know what? You're right.
SPEAKER_02You're talking about your pool, your chlorine and stuff. Like, oh, you're right. I'm doing this wrong. Yeah. Well, yeah, could you get it right the first fucking time?
SPEAKER_11With all the information along the internet, and with I had all the data or the uh owner's manuals, all like you know, pictures, everything uploaded still gets it wrong. It's like you're must stupid.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's it's not Skynet. It's not Skynet yet. But when it becomes a GI. So AI, when it becomes A G I, which is means that it can really learn on its own. I don't remember what it means, but it means it can learn on its own.
SPEAKER_06There's the first one, which is probably what we have now, and like the stuff in our cars and stuff like that. And then there's the second one that the military will use because it will have more strategy, and then there's the third one that's like legitimately, like it's it can be.
SPEAKER_02That's that's AGI. If AGI happens, like then it's a thing that can be I don't remember, but it can it can do its own thinking basically. Like it it then it then it informs its own fucking thoughts, you know what I mean? And so then that's when you have to worry about Skynet. Yeah, that's when you have to worry about oh shit, this thing has taken over, it'll do whatever it wants, it it it will see humans as a threat because they're not useful because they need food and water and all this stuff, so it'll try to cut off all of our food and water. Yeah, I'm telling you, dude, Skynet.
SPEAKER_06And it's gonna know it's gonna know in a second how to defeat us. Yeah. And it's not gonna be it's not even gonna have to try hard because we've already pretty much done.
SPEAKER_02We're giving it every bit of knowledge that it needs to kill us.
SPEAKER_11Do you have a um Apple CarPlay? Or do you have an Apple phone?
SPEAKER_06I do.
SPEAKER_11Apple phone. So in your car, does uh ChatGPT come up? No.
SPEAKER_06I don't have CarPlay.
SPEAKER_11No, I have CarPlay, but I don't have ChatGPT as it's an app on her. But also you can ask Siri, hey Siri, ask ChatGPT XYZ. It'll be like, do you want to do that?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. My glasses will do that.
SPEAKER_11Uh Chris showed me that, and that was pretty interesting.
SPEAKER_02That's pretty cool. But again, ChatGPT is only as smart as it's learning. Like it's like it learns, and then I'm like, dude, you did this wrong again. So I do a thumbnail each week for the podcast, and it puts different people every time. And I'm like, do you remember what me and TK look like? Or so I'm like, here's our picture, put us on the thing, and it's always a distorted, it doesn't really look like us, but it's like fuck it, it's a thumbnail.
SPEAKER_06I think some of the thumbnails you're putting up are pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're fun. You know, it's it's I I like Chat GPT for that.
SPEAKER_06And I like the ones that you put up with all the smoke and stuff. Yeah, it's yeah, like a smoky room that looks real cool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, what I'm trying to do is instead of the intro that we have, which is the going through the clouds, I'm taking that camera with that 16mm lens right there, and I have a DGI, DJI uh gimbal. You guys have seen my gimbal.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Big ass fucking cool thing with it. Well, then what I want to do is take a bunch of B-roll, just walking inside, and I did it. I did some cigars, I got George, I got a couple of these signs and stuff like that. But I'm gonna do like us sparking up a smoke. Picture this. You know the song, like ban na na na. Picture a black room, like in the in the bathroom, right? Doors closed, it's black. And then you see, and you hear that, yeah. And then if it's slow, the lights up in the face. Yeah, as soon as you breathe out the smoke though, like and then it's just views of us around the table waving, things like that.
SPEAKER_06I mean, all the stuff you want to do.
SPEAKER_02I'm doing it, I'm I'm taking the videos.
SPEAKER_06Don't talk about it, be about it.
SPEAKER_02Be about it. Yeah, I know, I know. Well, we don't know what we don't know, and we're learning as we go. So we're we're trying to do this stuff. And TK, man, we miss you for this episode.
SPEAKER_06I know. Come on back, TK.
SPEAKER_02But he's having a good time, he's camping.
SPEAKER_06Where's he camping at?
SPEAKER_02I don't remember. He told me. Some guy's backyard, I think he said.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, he's like, something like that.
SPEAKER_02It puts it puts the lotion on his skin.
SPEAKER_11So Chance and I were talking, how much time do we have? As much time as you remember. So Chance and I were talking last night. You might not like this. But he's like, this place sucks. Which place? Like North Carolina.
SPEAKER_02Agreed. I concur. Chance, me and you are talking after this.
SPEAKER_06Hear me percent. 100%. Hear me out. We can talk we can talk about this. So with what we grew up with which reason? Let's hear it.
SPEAKER_11Because I have to grew up in Idaho. We grew up in Idaho. So we have the mountains, trails, like wilderness, everything other than that fucking thing right there, the ocean. Don't say it like that. That's not the ocean's awful.
SPEAKER_02And we have lakes everywhere, dude.
SPEAKER_04Stupid.
SPEAKER_02That lake over there, that ocean over there.
SPEAKER_03That's deep.
SPEAKER_06No, I think I again I've never been, but you know, just watching like Yellowstone and shit like that, like the mountainous views. I yeah.
SPEAKER_11And this serenity is out of this world, you know. Where we where we were at, Idaho Falls, uh, you go 30 minutes east and you're at Black Tail Lake. Yeah, you go two hours north, you're in Yellowstone, actual Yellowstone Park. You know, uh all over the fucking place. And the the the mental part of it, I guess, more so than the monetary, I'm really starting to appreciate because I was like, oh, I can't go back to Idaho after I retire because the benefits are shit and it's horrible. But man, for for this, and for like what he was talking about last night, it's just like, damn, you got a point, dude. I think you you're just hanging on to nostalgia. Maybe you're probably right. I'm probably very after this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you can always go back to visit or if you're like talking about going to Virginia, so I don't want to hear anything. I talked about if my band, if my band is done, then I think it might be time for me to move back to Virginia.
SPEAKER_09I mean, I was born and raised in San Diego. Like the place where everybody goes to you know retire and San Diego. And so like I get the allure of wanting to go back, right? Because there's a lot of nostalgia, there's a lot of stuff that I want to show my kids in terms of what I experienced down there and what you want to share the way that you were kind of, yeah. Yeah, and maybe at some point we can do that, but that doesn't need to be uh the the thing that um keeps. Anchors you into San Diego. Exactly. And I think that the the thing that I appreciate that I fucking hated at first with with the Navy sending me over to the East Coast was having to leave the West Coast for the first time. Right. You know, and once I got over here I was an East Coaster. Yeah, and you know, once you went over to the West Coast, there's so much that you experience, right? This is cool, and so there's so many experiences that I got from coming over here that I would have never gotten to experience.
SPEAKER_06You know, with everything going on with the World Cup, it's interesting because you watch the YouTube stuff of all of them putting up of uh like the different why why we don't travel like they do? Yeah because 45 minutes they're in another country. They said here 45 minutes you're still in the same state. Yeah. So when you're talking about East Coast to West Coast, it's like another it's a whole different world. Yeah, it is, yeah. It's different everything.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I mean you you go four hours inland. Yeah, you go into like you know uh western uh North Carolina, you're a totally different area.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. And so I think that And it's beautiful, dude. Like that's what's cool about North Carolina though. Yeah, you could be at the beach, you can be in the fucking mountains in hours. Yeah, same thing with San Diego. You could go up the coast, you can go down the coast. Same thing with San Diego. We're in a place where you can go. Yeah, San Diego is crazy.
SPEAKER_09You go desert, you go beach, you go mountains, you know what's your you go into the into the forest, like but California's one of those states, it's like it's like the United States is so long.
SPEAKER_02Everybody wants to see it. And they say they're from California, like you, there's a lot of California to see.
SPEAKER_11I missed it out there. Yeah, big time.
SPEAKER_06But I think that for you, why don't you just go visit? Take because you have time, the kids are off. Why don't you go like for a month, go ahead and do it? Yeah, but they've never been there have been figure out if it's nostalgia, take it if it's something legit.
SPEAKER_02No, but take the girls there and say, like, I grew up here.
SPEAKER_11But oh, I want to, don't get me wrong. Plenty of time.
SPEAKER_02Chance to go with you, guys. That would be a cool uh drive-out trip with the truck. I'm just kidding, that's too far away.
SPEAKER_09He's only got one arm left, all right, coming out. I would have never believed that I would have liked a small town. You know, and I think I love it.
SPEAKER_06I can't stand coming here, but I do love the feel of small town.
SPEAKER_02He wants me to move back to Virginia Beach, which is where I'm from. And that's what's that's just because I miss my brother. Well, if my people like it here. If my band broke up, you can get a band anyway. This is what I would this this is what I would miss, though. But I don't have this. You know what you're gonna miss?
SPEAKER_06You didn't have this until you're gonna miss your firearms.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's the other thing. No, I won't, motherfucker, because I'll have them. No, they'll be in the in the boat accident. Listen, listen. Whatever illegal law they make that infringes on my Second Amendment right, I don't care. I have the Second Amendment right to have these guns. I will have these guns. ATF's listed. From my cold hands, I'm pretty sure we're on a couple lists right now. I don't give a shit. From my cold dead hands. I will always own guns. I don't care where I live, I will always own guns. Uh but I'm an American, I'm allowed to own guns.
SPEAKER_10I think the nostalgia want to own guns in Virginia is making it harder.
SPEAKER_02And I don't give a shit. No, they're well, they're trying to, and the Justice Department is suing them for it. So what's it?
SPEAKER_06Kelly uh was a as a firearms instructor. And he and he still has all of his guns. He's got a gun safe. Right.
SPEAKER_02What I'm saying is they're trying to pass a law though that just prohibits. Right, but then the the federal government's going in to sue them because they should not be infringing on your own.
SPEAKER_06I don't understand how they can because the it seems to me, because I don't know much about this, so I can't speak intelligently on this particular subject, but it seems to me that most people are like, why would you need that many bullets? Da-da-da-da-da. You how many deer do you need to kill? But it's not for hunting. Right.
SPEAKER_02It's not for like how when we needed to fight the British, we needed more than a hunting bullet.
SPEAKER_06It's not for home protection, it's not for all that stuff. It's legit in there for to protect against my fucking government.
SPEAKER_07Right.
SPEAKER_06So yeah. Well, you don't have F-16, so you're not gonna be able to defend against the big thing. I think I might need a tank. Like, get the fuck out of here. Um, my my government isn't coming, you know, knocking on the door nice and easy. They're gonna come hard. Yep. You need a lot of bullets.
SPEAKER_02Well, what they want to do first is disarm you like Nazi Germany did. 100%. Then they're gonna start, you know, burning books and all that kind of shit. Um you know what all those books were about? Yeah, transgenderism and gayness and all that kind of thing. You know who uh let all that in? Yeah, the Jews. I know all the people. Well, I can't women because Jared hates women. I don't hate Jews. I love Jews. I just think it is interesting. I don't hate women we're taught a certain thing, and then when you see it like later, it's like, oh shit. And then you hear his speech translated into English, and it's like he would say, yeah. We were taught something different. No, but I'm not he was terrible. I'm like, you can't first of all, no matter what you think, no matter what you think, you don't treat people like subhuman. You can't fucking like no matter what, I don't give a shit.
SPEAKER_06I don't care.
SPEAKER_021190. It's a hundred and nine. Well, but it's not gonna get the gender. But it doesn't matter how you feel about a certain person. You can't just like he did it wrong. Like he's trying to exterminate a fucking race. I don't give a shit how bad the race is, how good the race is. That's a fucking human being that you're that you're just exterminating.
SPEAKER_06Regardless of how they say it's a good thing.
SPEAKER_02You're a terrible, you're an evil, terrible person. Doesn't matter how right or wrong you are, you don't exterminate a fucking race. You just don't. And so that's that's what I mean. Like terrible, terrible, terrible. But then you find out it's like, oh, well, there's more to it than that.
SPEAKER_06There's a lot more to it. Yeah, he tried kicking them out at first.
SPEAKER_02Well, but I'm not I'm by no means, you know, defending him in any way. No, terrible, terrible.
SPEAKER_06He tried kicking them out, but they had the banks, and he tried taking them off of the off of that banking system, so the they got everyone else to attack. It doesn't matter. I'm not gonna No, it doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_02I'm not gonna kill him. Terrible person died the way he should have in a trench. Fucking well, hopefully, hopefully he died a very painful death. I love Norm McDonald's take on him. He's like, we're not even gonna dignify him with saying his name, but the Heinz.
SPEAKER_04That guy, that guy. He said he picked a fight with, you know who the world. The world. He's like the world war.
SPEAKER_02And he goes, and it wasn't even and he almost won, it's like he almost pulled it off. And he goes, and then the then a little time went by, and then you know, the that same Heinzlein started another world war. And guess who he picked the fight with? The world. He he again chose his opponent as the world. And it was like and it was close, and it's like yeah, Norm McDonald was a treasure, man. Canadian treasure.
SPEAKER_09What is chance not like about the area?
SPEAKER_02He's a Nazi.
SPEAKER_09Like, there's nothing you got.
SPEAKER_06How much time do you got?
unknownMountains.
SPEAKER_09Huh?
unknownMountains.
SPEAKER_10Oh, you just use the mountains?
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_10You could just go over to like Blue Ridge.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude, we have mountains here in North Carolina. That's what we grew up to. To go up the mountains.
SPEAKER_09But that's like living in Idaho and saying, I just wish I had the ocean. Exactly. So it's no Idaho and ever.
SPEAKER_06Idaho. That's the biggest damn lake I ever did saw. Right.
SPEAKER_02We appreciate our lakes. Let me tell you what. What Jared's referring to when I was a no, when I was a kid, my my best friend growing up, Nick, he was we were in a band together, our first band, everything. We're good friends, but their family's from West Virginia. And he spoke regular old Virginia Beach language, right? But when we knew him, but when he came over at six years old, and his mom tells the story, he goes, the first time he saw the ocean, he goes, That there's the biggest dang river I ever did saw. Frank, we got to get you on the next one. The very next episode, I think we're gonna do Frank's book. Uh, whenever you say you're available. All right. I'll talk to you this week. So, Frank, we talked about Frank a bunch. He's got the book. Don't spoil it. No, the book. We talked about the book. He's got some story. The Tar Hero Boys of Summer. I'm not gonna spoil who he's interviewed because we've talked about this. He's interviewed some very famous people, and we're gonna talk to him about that. And what I'm I'm worried about is that you're a professional interviewer, and I'm gonna be here like, hey, friend, told us more. Like, I'm not gonna Yeah, you're gonna you're gonna have to run the interview from the interviewing. He's gonna have to interview himself. You're gonna give him notes. You're gonna have to write it out first. Yeah, you tell us how to do it. You'd be like, listen, listen, you were supposed to ask it in this way. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Noob.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But I and I I'll bring my copy of your book so you can sign it too, because I want you to sign that copy of my book. See you, Frank. See you, man. So yeah, he wrote The Tar Hero Boys of Summer, but that's his fourth published book that he's written. What do you own? Three? Not two.
SPEAKER_06But mine are written two, but you're on your third book.
SPEAKER_02I'm on my third book, but mine are self-published. His are traditionally published, like published. Yeah, the thing is loser. No, I tried to I tried to get a literary agent.
SPEAKER_06I actually had one that was hard to get like a very hard.
SPEAKER_02But I had one that was like ready to go, and then she got cold feet. Another project that she had to like it's the I have to do this from a from a current like client. Every time I think she just passed you over. She had me do homework though. She was like, go find like how many Marines do you know? I was like fucking thousands. She's like, Yeah, but how many high-rank? And I was like, Well, I know General Love, three-star, I know Brigadier General McClam, I know uh Colonel uh Ansel, Colonel this, Colonel This, Colonel this, mass gunner, sergeant Gormley, Sergeant Major Alzheimer's, Sergeant Major, fucking Martinez, all my buddies. No, what I'm saying is, so I was like, and I the next day I was like, I know all these people who would easily come on the pot, you know, whatever, just talk, whatever. And she's like, You this is she was like, I'm getting out of the uh business of of being a a book uh what do you call it?
SPEAKER_06Editor.
SPEAKER_02No, she's she is an editor. No, it's a it's an agent. Like an agent. Okay. So she's getting out of that to become a full-time editor.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Because she wants to edit instead. So and she does that. But she was like, but I read your proposal and I like your book and I like your chapters, and I read all that stuff.
SPEAKER_06The business one? Yeah, the business one.
SPEAKER_02But then she had to do this other project. She's like, I know you'll get somebody because this is a great thing. You can now. So I was like, fuck it, I'll just self-publish. I don't care. And I'm it's not like I'm doing it for sales, I'm doing it more for building my brand of leadership, you know. Uh first of all, when I'm I'm doing a right now, I'm writing an article, like a peer-reviewed journal article. I'm trying to get it peer-reviewed. Once I do it, I'll send it to like Harvard Business Review or something like that. And so when you get your PhD or your DBA or your doctorate or whatever, non-medical field, they they they sh you should be writing, you know, articles in your field. If you're not using it, you should be writing articles in your field.
SPEAKER_06Is it true that if you don't lose it? Don't use it, you lose it. Yes.
SPEAKER_02No, where did you hear that? Is that a serious question? So that's so that's why I'm trying to write this, you know, peer-reviewed journal article, because I was looking for like a teaching job, like an adjunct teaching job. You need your terminal degree, easy day, got it. But you need two peer-reviewed journal articles, and I don't have any. So, yeah, well, I've written books, now I'm right. Now, and they're all, you know, reviewed, and I'm I'm I'm using peer-reviewed journal articles to cite in my book. You see in the back the references and all that stuff. And so now it's a different, you know how it's different. It's academic writing is different than totally different. Absolutely. Absolutely language. So I'm writing in a different way, and it's like, fuck, I really gotta write like I wrote in college. You write like you did in college, very dry, very matter-of-fact, like this is exactly that. No frills.
SPEAKER_06Logical, yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know, just to get it published, and we'll see if I can get it published. But I'm I'm coming up with kind of a new term. So we're seeing if that's well O L I.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that's right. You did tell me about that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So we'll see if it becomes a thing. Observable leadership indicators. Oh, so we talk about traits, we talk about those things, but if you look at a leader, if you see them, you can tell how much in emotional intelligence they have by how they interact with somebody else. Let's just say you're a fly on the wall, you're watching them interact. You know that they have this much emotional intelligence. You know that maybe they were promoted out of their comfort zone. You know whether they uh you know whether they're using servant leadership, transformational leadership, or they're just authoritative. You can kind of see those things. So those are those indicators.
SPEAKER_06I feel like this is borderline, like you could make a show out of this, because like you know, the whole undercover boss thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I love that. Yeah, like if you if it were real, it's always scripted.
SPEAKER_06Right, but if they're doing it in the sense to see about their employees, but if you were to do it, you could watch the management and be like, Well, so that's we to see in the Marines.
SPEAKER_09That's what Marcus Lamonas does. They have D Lab. Have you heard of D Lab? No, no, no. Uh basically a lot of the junior officers that are just coming in, they go on this two-week course essentially, where the psychologists are there and uh they evaluate the the officers for everything from like IQ testing to like the other sort of like leadership skills and whatnot. And by the end they have kind of like a baseball card with their scores and different statistics and saying, like, yeah, hey, you're a high IQ person, but you're also the type of person that just does it rather than relying on other people. So your weakness is gonna be burnt out.
SPEAKER_02And so it kind of gives them a you need to learn delegation, you need to learn how to disseminate your work.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, and like you know, different things of like highly intelligent while also highly independent. You would think that that would be a good thing, but at the same time, that's you're that that's gonna be a crux as a leader. Absolutely intelligent. Yeah, you try to do everything yourself. Or if you you're very low intelligence, but you're very social, that means that you're you could be highly manipulative in terms of trying to you know fake the funk to make it through.
SPEAKER_02There's that. Welcome.
SPEAKER_09But yeah, I I you got a link of my uh psychologist. I think give it getting uh an idea in terms of what they're doing. Um because this is just like a two-week course. They were trying to get they were trying to get rid of it for a little bit, but um but I I think that that's a a good way to get an idea as you step into leadership about your different pitfalls. We're about to we're about to wrap up. Yeah. I uh I think that it's a a great program, but you know, if you link up with my psychologist, I can um link you up with him and you could talk to him because he's gonna be headed up to Greg Lake.
SPEAKER_02Because you're not you're not hooking me into some psychology thing. He's like, Lee, I'm gonna get you, dude. He's not a real doctor. This guy needs all more than you do. I know he does. I know he does. I know he does.
SPEAKER_06You know, for a psychologist, I'll give you to the female psychologist.
SPEAKER_02He's not a real doctor.
SPEAKER_06Uh for all the stuff I was saying, I thought for sure you'd have more to say back. Damn, about the woman.
SPEAKER_09Oh, well, let's do it. You're supposed to defend women. I just said I vehemently look do not plaster my feet.
SPEAKER_06If you vehemently disagree, then back it up. Like what was wrong? What did I say that was wrong?
SPEAKER_09There was a ton wrong. I think that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_06Then it should be easy to pick out one thing. What was one thing?
SPEAKER_09I think that there isn't. I think that it's going to be I think the issue is, you know, uh kind of the way that you interpret your views of your mom.
SPEAKER_04And I'm not taking anything towards the money.
SPEAKER_06Dorothy Mantooth is the thing. Your mom is great. No, I don't take my mom into any of this information. Dorothy Manth is the same. I know that my mom is not the best. Oh shit. Nobody's the best. Mom, thank God. I don't I don't make it personal. I go off of just statistics. These are legitimate statistics that are actually out there.
SPEAKER_09I'm fucking with you.
SPEAKER_10We're not gonna get into that. How about this?
SPEAKER_06Next show, I'll shit on men because I have twice as much to say about why it's because everybody thinks.
SPEAKER_02Put your thoughts in the comments. We want to hear it. We have to end the show.
SPEAKER_06Because everybody because you brought this up, so of course I'm talking about women, but I think that men are also a huge problem because men are pussies now.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, yeah. Because they don't get bolded enough.
SPEAKER_06Well, in in order for a woman to be happy, she in order for her to allow you to leave, you have to be able to leave. She's gotta trust you to leave. And if you're a fucking little bitch and you're like, what do you want? Is this okay? Like, make a decision. Be the man.
SPEAKER_02You don't think women want that?
SPEAKER_06He and I were talking about that. They absolutely do want that.
SPEAKER_11He and I were talking not too long ago about happy wife, happy life. That's a such a horrible saying.
SPEAKER_06Stupid. And here's the thing. You can take the most like the biggest feminist out there. If you have a strong enough man, if he's a good enough man, then she'll she'll follow right into it. That's what they that's what they're doing.
SPEAKER_11It's not so much about following. I mean, go together.
SPEAKER_06It is about following, though. Uh I think I think that I think that a company can't be a good company unless it has a good leader and a bunch of other people who are able to. Right. But you're on the same path that's a good thing. That doesn't mean that they don't have authority. That doesn't mean that they can't make their own decisions. That doesn't mean that they literally have to be handcuffed to the fucking stove, barefoot and pregnant. That's not what that means. But because of because no one ever tells women this, that's probably what everyone's hearing right now. Oh, he hates women because of this and that and this and that. Look up the studies of women's happiness right now. Look at where it is and look at where it was, and look at what happened. Look at the cause. Don't just make it up, like look at it.
SPEAKER_09So is it also a trend of like because men are also like at a historically low uh you know happiness level that that might be the root cause?
SPEAKER_06Because I think like women are raising this these men to not be men.
SPEAKER_09I think that men are inherent uh I don't know, I guess like the traditional male sense is that we take care of everybody else and then we take care of ourselves. But at some point you have to learn that balance of like prioritizing yourself in order to take care of everybody else. But if you but it's it's like the the airplane analogy of like making sure that yeah, the air mask. Yeah, exactly. You gotta put it on yourself and then you can take care of everybody else. But if you're sitting there unhealthy, unhappy, and you're relying your happiness on somebody else, that's doomed for failure. Because you can't make somebody happy like that's a good thing. That's doomed for failure.
SPEAKER_06The marriage? Because men don't leave, it's not doomed for failure. But I but I think that I hold on my own.
SPEAKER_09I think society is is doomed for failure.
SPEAKER_06I disagree. And and I and my reasoning is that if that man is unhappy, he won't, he's not gonna make the family suffer for it. He's gonna raise two kids to be healthy and happy boys, and then they're gonna grow up to make healthy and happy boys. They're gonna make great families, and then they're gonna make great families.
SPEAKER_09When the men are on health uh are uh unhappy.
SPEAKER_06Men have always been disposable.
SPEAKER_09But when men are unhappy, that's where you you get like the alcoholic, you know, abusive dads that are like taken out their grandfather.
SPEAKER_06But that's because they weren't taught how to be men. Men What does that look like?
SPEAKER_09Talking about your emotions, learning about like, hey, yeah, you feel this type of way that you're gonna be able to do it.
SPEAKER_06I think you can talk about your emotions to an extent. But if you're just crying all the time, if you're just a whiny little bitch, that's a big difference.
SPEAKER_09Well, it's better than ign it's working.
SPEAKER_06I don't think it is. I think that's poisonous. If you're constantly crying and oh, poor me, instead of pulling your fucking self up with being a little bitch, yes, times are hard. Suck it the fuck up. I think Don't get me wrong. If I was raped or if I was I can't say that on YouTube. If I was great, do or take. If I was uh if I was like if I was like abducted, if I was tortured, okay, I get that. But that's this that's a minute percentage of society. I think most men have become little bitches because they're too in touch with their feelings.
SPEAKER_09I think the problem is that the men aren't acknowledging their emotions. They're just saying, like, I have no idea.
SPEAKER_06Then why did society thousands of years when men didn't talk about their emotions? Why did we build up this this huge society and propagate all of the things that we've done? What's going on?
SPEAKER_09I think what's going on is that people uh is that men aren't aren't willing to acknowledge their emotions.
SPEAKER_06They never were. But somehow men were still happy. Men were still good, they still took care of their family, they still had grills, uh, you know, cookouts with their buddies, they still did things, and they were fine. People are too sensitive. I thousands of years of things being a certain way. And hold on, let's take all these religions out there too, let's take all these different countries. Why is it then every single country the middle of the Amazon right now, there's probably a tribe where the where it's where it's the man is in charge and the woman follows. Why is why is it in in China?
SPEAKER_09Christianity's that way too. In almost virtually everyone.
SPEAKER_06But in but in all the other countries before Christianity got there, and in every single civilization, before like you know, before you know, we went there and colonized and everything like that. But before all this happened, why were these things this way?
SPEAKER_09I think the I think you're you're and it worked well. I think uh you are demonizing the emotions where you're what you ought to be demonizing is the behaviors that result from those emotions. So if you feel some type of way, if you feel stressed, anxious, depressed, or whatever, you gotta acknowledge it and say that that's what's going on. You can't just sit there and just say, like, oh, I'm I'm just being a bitch, I just gotta fucking shut it up. No, I can't just completely agree with that. So I think that you should talk to your boys. Also figure out, figure out why it is that you feel that way, figure out kind of what the root cause of some of that is, try to change some of your behaviors to influence it, to move it in the right direction. But it doesn't start by saying, Oh, you're just being a bitch, you gotta suck it the fuck up and then just kind of keep moving on. You actually have to acknowledge it and look at it in the mirror and be honest with yourself, and that's the hardest thing, is to actually look at yourself in the mirror and saying, I'm not being the type of man that I should be. I got I can't, you know, and you have you're around your boys, and they might just be a bunch of yes men, but they also might be a table like this where they'll call you out on their bullshit on your bullshit and be like, you're fucking treating her uh, you know, inappropriately. Like you're taking that shit for granted. You're doing X, Y, and Z. I wouldn't parent my kids that way, but you know, you do you, that sort of thing. But that sort of uh that that uh notion of saying that like you just gotta buck the fuck up, pull up your pants and whatnot, it's it's uh it's toxic because it doesn't teach you how to actually live with those emotions. Because you're gonna have those emotions, they're not right, they're not wrong, they just are. And it's about what are you gonna do with it? You might be scared and you might either you might choose to run or you might choose to go towards that obstacle. But that's the difference, and that's the thing that uh you can teach your kids. And I think that that's what's missing a lot is the the fear of discomfort.
SPEAKER_02And I think by you're allowed to have these emotions, you guys need to understand these.
SPEAKER_09And if we got into that practice a little bit more of just acknowledging and figuring it out, we wear we're we're gonna carry less in our path, we're not gonna take it on on people around us, and and we we deal with it in a healthier manner. And and I think that when you uh sort of demonize the emotions that in that sort of sense, it's not the emotions that are the problem, it's the behaviors that come from that. So if you are depressed, if you are anxious, if you are you know fucking stressed, okay, where is that coming from? Is that something you could change right now? If not, what can else what else can you do in your life to try to make life more colorful?
SPEAKER_06All right, let me respond to that. First, I agree wholeheartedly with everything you just said. I think the problem is you're hearing what you want to hear. I said in the very beginning, yeah, talk to your boys 100%. Because most of these guys around this table have been through the same shit that you've been through. They know what you're going through, and they and that's who you should be talking to. What I did say was it it there comes a point where you're just bitching, you're just whining and crying about nothing, but you're not fixing your problems. Yeah, so as a man, you can talk to your boys. That's that's encouraged. And that's always been the way.
SPEAKER_09Focus on the behaviors, not the emotions.
SPEAKER_06But that's always been the way. You talk to your boys, you figure out what the problem is, you fix it, and you move forward, you correct that problem, and you move forward. But it comes from a it comes from a. They're just my life's hard when it's not. You know what I mean? Like I agree. Talk to somebody, talk to other men who who who you trust and who you know have got your back, and who can actually help you instead of just you know being a crutch.
SPEAKER_09And I think help looks like, hey, how can we grow from help you grow from this?
SPEAKER_06Exactly. And so But I completely agree with that. That's never been in question. That's why I said there there comes a point where you're where you're actually you're saying your emotions like you're saying you should be able to talk, like I can talk to Lee about anything that's going on with my life, and we'll talk about it, we'll joke about it, and then he'll give me advice. I'll either take it or I won't, but I'll move forward and I'll and I'll fix the problem. I won't just continue with this problem and then keep going back to Lee every three weeks with the same fucking problem that I'm crying about. Yeah, like fix the fucking problem. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying don't talk. I'm not saying be an emotional shell or or like just a you know guarded from everything. You should be able to talk, but you should be able you shouldn't just talk for talking purposes. You should talk to fix it. For the pr yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_09So I completely agree with you. To to work on changing something rather than the other thing.
SPEAKER_06But I but I mean to not believe that men are not men anymore. That they just they're just whining, and they're not because they're they're raised by emotional women.
SPEAKER_02Ed, welcome to the show. Um we're about 22 minutes over, actually. We're gonna be stopping soon. But uh what they're talking about is Jared hates women. Here we go. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. No, Jared was bringing up uh a point that women are not smart. I don't know what I don't know, I don't know what he was saying. I love women. I can't wait to hear the or read the feedback on this. Watch it back. It's no, it's not exactly that, but I do love women. Okay.
SPEAKER_04I'm sure he said, so do I think retarded.
SPEAKER_02That's what he said. He did say that.
SPEAKER_05And these aren't opinions of the hot eyes podcast now. It's my little brother. He's a mine and mine alone.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, he's serious created display.
SPEAKER_02Anyone who wants to look into it, the information's out there. But he's sticking to it. He's he's uh he's doubling. Because I believe it.
SPEAKER_09I think there are aspects of both sides that are true. And that's not me trying to be like a middleman pacifist thing.
SPEAKER_06I think that the you are in a position, you are in a position better than most to actually look these things up. I I think that you should. I think that everything that I said, look it up and see if I'm wrong.
SPEAKER_09Well, I mean, okay, so let's say that.
SPEAKER_02He's under the influence of a gummy bear, by the way. Just so you know.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. So I'm kind of like seeing the.
SPEAKER_02He looks pretty good after uh, they both did awesome. Him and Rusty both ate it and they both down the hatched it. My both in about an hour. He was sweating a little bit. They both did great. They're both look, they're both fine.
SPEAKER_05I actually were saying you should do it. Stefan, as I did they do the hot dog?
SPEAKER_02They did it. They did it.
SPEAKER_05I'm impressed.
SPEAKER_02And we even mentioned that you sell them at 640 West Cobard Avenue at Candy Adventure.
SPEAKER_06Have you done one? I have done one shirt with the puppy dog.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06What did you think when you did it?
SPEAKER_02You did not do one.
SPEAKER_05I did one with uh with Evan. Evan.
SPEAKER_02Evan did one on Christmas and then ruined his ruined his Christmas, right? Yes. Oh God. But these two are doing great. So I think it's cool.
SPEAKER_01You know what? I'm gonna raise a bitch.
SPEAKER_02Are you guys ready to do the outro? That was mama. Are we ready to do our final thoughts?
SPEAKER_06But do you see? It's always mama. It's always mama. Are we ready? But that's propaganda. Final thoughts. Daddy didn't raise a bitch. Mama did.
SPEAKER_02Jared, final thoughts.
SPEAKER_06Uh what else can I say?
SPEAKER_02There's not much else I can say. Say it with your chest.
SPEAKER_06I've said everything with my chest, and I'm not backing down. If I if I can be proven wrong, and then I'll go back and research some more. And if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But I welcome it. Please look into it.
SPEAKER_02So Jared drove down three and a half hours today just to do the podcast and drive three and a half hours.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I came down to give you your uh GoPro.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the one that he bought on an Amazon because he broke. Well, anyway, I can't believe you're driving seven hours round trip just for this. So thank you for doing it.
SPEAKER_06I'm a little bit. I appreciate the drive. I know you are.
SPEAKER_02I'm a little bitch. I have a dog.
SPEAKER_06He just drove my god.
SPEAKER_02His two dogs are right here.
SPEAKER_06She just had surgery, and I still brought her.
SPEAKER_02That's why. Well, that's why Penny's not here. Anyway, Roger, final thoughts.
SPEAKER_09Uh thanks for uh bringing that nice little nitro. Oh man, man. Rusty, that was a great experience.
SPEAKER_02You did good, man.
SPEAKER_09I think it went pretty well.
SPEAKER_02I think he took it like a champ.
SPEAKER_09I think chocolate milk was uh was the winner for me in terms of the spiciness relief.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Let's have Rusty come up to the mic real quick and tell us uh how how you felt about it.
SPEAKER_01I'm okay now.
SPEAKER_02No, you know it was the the first Go ahead, you got it. Or just take it off the thing.
SPEAKER_01So, you know, first off, it was try to get into the camera. So, first off, it was super sweet.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01And then it turned out to be super spicy.
SPEAKER_02It wasn't sweet. You had sweat beating down your face. You couldn't talk. Roger was talking and you were just like, he was like, it was great, but it's great.
SPEAKER_01I'm not gonna lie. It's horrible. Yeah, it's horrible. And I will not do it again.
SPEAKER_02But you but you both did the channel. You know what? I'll do it again. I would say third time's a chocolate. But you both made the five-minute challenge. Yes. So now you can say that.
SPEAKER_01The chocolate milk for me was better than the regular milk. Yep. They went five minutes without being able to drink anything.
SPEAKER_02They had to chew it up, swallow it, sit there for five fucking minutes, and they did. Both of them. Yeah, citric acid was an enhancer for me. But they did fine.
SPEAKER_04The way you were talking to me, you're like, I don't like the stuff.
SPEAKER_01It was bad. Anyway, I would do it again, not anytime soon, and um you need time to forget about it. You know, it's never it never goes away. It's kind of like Uncle Touchy's dirty basement. Love you guys. Thank you for following. And hey, please like and subscribe.
SPEAKER_02Yes, like and subscribe. Ed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, good luck.
SPEAKER_02Ed only got on pick it on for the last like four fucking minutes. But hey, final thoughts. Let's see.
SPEAKER_06Can we talk about you uh with your shoulder?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. Ed, what's going on with your shoulder?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, because I heard you can't do it either.
SPEAKER_02You're having to defer to next year, right?
SPEAKER_05Uh I'm having some shoulder issues. Uh the swim has been a big challenge. Uh I've had rotary cuff issues for probably ten years. And so they're talking about replacing or having a shoulder replacement. So I'm I'm still waiting on the doctors.
SPEAKER_06If you have to get the shoulder replacement, will you be able to do it next year? Yes. Like what's the recovery? Six to eight months. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But him and Cody have to defer to next year.
SPEAKER_06But the recovery from the surgery and then the training up too.
SPEAKER_05Right. But I'm not uh giving up altogether. I am running a half uh marathon with my son and my daughter. It's been a lot of fun training with my daughter, who is absolutely 100%. She's killing it. So it's even more fun to be able to train.
SPEAKER_02She's like, Yeah, me and my dad have been running and doing this thing. I said, that's the first half marathon I ever did. That's with Cody. And it makes it more special doing it with your kids. Wherever Cody is. Oh my god, it's so awesome. Yeah, my kids ran half marathons when they were 12, and I thought that was the coolest thing in the world.
SPEAKER_05So she's dedicated, 100%.
